I'm looking to buy a moisturiser with Vit A / retinol. Firstly I'm not really sure of the difference - is there one? Any suggestions? I'm 36 with normal/combination skin. |

I used Philosophy - Booster Shot capsule, I think it's not too bad but it is expensive.
Well, I am looking for the cheaper one as well |

I have since been reading about retin A. Can this be bought in the UK? Don't think out doctors here would prescribe! Any site in US where it can be ordered from? All very exciting!!! |

You might check out some of the products at Skinbiology.com. They have a retinol in squalene moiturizer and several different protect and restore creams, one that contains retinol and lavender. They seem reasonably priced. I used the protect and restore cream for awhile but now use retin A and CPs separately. |

Pips, I buy Retin A 0.5 from MedsMex.com. The postage to the UK is free. |

* SkinMedica Retinol Complex
* Bioelements Sleepwear
* PSF Retinol Nite Repair
* Jan Marini Factor-A Cream
* MD Formulations Vit-A-Plus Night Recovery Complex

Hmmm - like the sound of one with squalene! Is 0.5% the best strength? I read that 1% was better? |

If you've never used retinol before, I would
suggest that you start with .05% and then as your skin gets used to that strength, move up to 1%.
I would also suggest Avene products. They contain Retinaldehyde CT which I believe is stronger than retinol, but not as strong as Retin A.
Avene retinal - .5% and 1%
Avene Ystheal cream - .5%
Avene Diacneal cream - 1% + 6% glycolic acid
I use Diacneal cream nightly before applying my CPs, and I really like the combo. No breakouts, pores less visable, slowly fading my old acne scars and sun damage. |

Do I need to mix the Retin A 0.5% with anything or just apply it? I had trouble accessing the medmex site - and also heard a few dodgy things about it. Think ther Retin A can also be sourced from India - anyone had experience of this? |

Melanie - I've tried Green Cream - have it in 6 and 9. It works. I rotate my products and this is a part of the rotation. There are times when I can see it really buffs my skin. Somedays more than others. But I like it and recommend it. |

Thank you sister sweets! Just curious, what kind of rotation are you talking about? Alternating things daily? One week on, one week off? I'm asking not specifically about the Green Cream, but everything. I am thinking of setting up a schedule where I use certain things on different days...
I have the GC in 3. I am thinking of getting 9, and just mixing the two for my transition through 6... |

I've been using PSF 1% for several months now and consider this part of my pm routine. I haven't seen any dramatic improvement, but will continue using it for long term. |
