Hello, hello.
Two days ago, on a hot & humid day, I noticed a bump on my forehead, same colour as my skin, feeling like a deepy buried bump.No eruptions, just looking bumpy.
The only change was that I used the Dr H Regular Rose Day Cream for 1 day and a half before this happened, because I found the Light version to leave my skin a bit dry. The weather is changing in the Northeast, so that my have something to do with it. My skin has had a tough year.
I've been using the Hauschka products for two weeks. Here's what I use:
AM: DR H. Cleansing Milk, Neutrogena MicroCLear over a few zit spots, and when all that dries, I apply Rose Day Cream Light. Then Clinique CityBlock SPF 40 if I go outside.
PM: DR H. Cleansing Milk, Neutrogena MicroCLear over a few zit spots, Finacea Cream over my right cheek where there is rosacea. Right before bed, if my skin is super dry i dab on just a bit of L'Occitane Honey Face Cream. If skin feels fine/normal then I leave it be.
So, I've been skipping the night cream for a while.
Results so far: skin wakes up looking clear. Rosacea cheek is less irritated in the morning.
That was until two days ago, and when I switched to the regular DR H rose day cream, those two bumps appeared.
How do I know this is part of the normal purging people may experience, or if this is a bad reaction to the regular rose day cream?
Can I still use the regular rose cream in winter? New York Winters are tough on my skin... |

How do I know if it's the begining of cystic acne?

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news my dear, but Dr. H products gave me some of the worst cystic acne of my life, and I'm not the only one that it has happened too. Try quitting the day cream and the cleansing milk cold turkey and see if your skin gets better in a couple of weeks.
In the meantime, if you are worried about new york winters, you might want to try Zenbiotic's Moisture Enrich. You can get it atwww.zenbiotic.com--- it's affordable and all natural, and it has helped me through a really nasty winter here in Northern Ohio. HTH! |

Update:
I guess it's not cystic acne, since it's going away. There are lots of photos online of how it looks, but nothing visual on how it begins, leaving me unable to decide on my own what it is that I had.
The bumps on my forehead have disappeared except for the original, bigger bump on my forehead. This one has been reduced by 80%, and I'm continuing applying the neutrogena microclear zit cream locally.
So I've kept using the DHCM and switched back permanently to the DHRDCL: skin returned to normal. I suspect that I was not using enough of the light cream -- i initially tried to skimp out a little due to its expense. (I'm unemployed now)
So I've stored the rose day cream and am sticking to the Light version. I'm also making a point to drink LOTS of water daily…due to stress, I was skimping out on this too. FOOLISH.
Also:
I've chanced my routine with the DHCM: I cup my face instead of scrubbing it. I warm my face with warm water, put two squirts of DHCM in my hands and rub my palms together and then cup my skin with my palms. My skin is looking better now. |
