To anyone who knows about Flexeffect:

When is the 'new' version coming out? Should I wait, or should I purchase the set now? I'm interested in working facial exercises slowly into my routine as aging prevention.

Thanks!

I believe a poster on the FE board mentioned the possibility of January. I love the DVD as it's only 15 minutes long. The book actually has about 40 exercises and the DVD has about 16. Maybe you can find the DVD on ebay or amazon.

I emailed Deb Crowley, too, and no reply as well. But I also registered and posted a question on their site. Her daughter Claudia replied that the new version is not coming out in Jan. They're hoping it will come out some time in 2008 though. She did not answer how the new version is going to differ from the old one.

Avalange, I think you should wait for the new version. You're still young, so you can definitely wait on that. Otherwise, you'll always wonder about the new version when it finally comes out. I really hope they include more exercises in the new version. I don't want to follow exercises from a book. I am not very good at interpreting what they're writing about and apply it.

oh gosh, I don't know whether to buy know or wait ... hmm.

i have the facercise book from Carole Maggio, and I wanted to get Flexeffect because I am hoping there will be even stronger results. I like the idea of learning really good facial massage techniques too.

I was looking at Flex Away too, I might get that for the time being as the main part I want to work on is neck/sagging cheeks/jawline.

Are there other systems that are also really good?

I think I'm going with the Flex Away - I have read that their newest product is out this month. The website show the results I'm looking for too.

Thanks for all the replies. It's always annoying to ask a perfectly valid question and have someone refer you to a looong thread that does not really answer it.

I am concerned mostly with prevention--of nasal labial folds and sagging. i feel like i have the kind of face that will look gaunt and not necessarily have wrinkles when i age. i want to do whatever i can to keep the circulation going and the collagen there!

that's a shame about flex-effect not coming out in jan--i was looking forward to it. the massage techniques sounded especially promising. well, i think i will wait--it seems really great! or give carol maggio a try.

With flex effect, is there an exercise that targets folds running from the corners of the
mouth to the chin? I have been using Facial Flex for appropximately 3 months, I am seeing improvement in my cheek area and jaw line but nowhere else.

Just to let you all know that I've done FlexEfefct exercises for maybe about a week now, and I've noticed that my skin creased up after certain exercises. I had to pause before going to the next exercise to iron it out because I was afraid I'd get wrinkles! I noticed, too, that my skin seemed to be dehydrated because certain exercise movements would make the skin look wrinkly. The exercises also made me realize I got rather thin skin. Oh well...I continue to do the exercises in hopes that it will help to firm things up and thicken my skin up a little. I have also been spritzing tons of toner now after I cleanse which improves the dehydration problem. Oh yeah, and I've been TRYING to drink more water, too.

I don't think everyone will get these creases from the exercises like I do especially if your skin is not dehydrated and thin. Deb Crowley who was demonstrating the exercises certainly didn't have any creases after she demonstrated them or even during the demonstration. But I brought this up because I recall reading something about people saying they got more wrinkles from doing facial exercises, and I could see why. I will continue to do the exercises, but may eliminate the ones that seem to create more creases around my mouth. I love the eye exercises as they help to make my eyes look less tired.

I have been doing FlexEffect since June/July with positive results. I do not do the full set of 40, but rather a core subset.

I also have fair sensitive skin, and encountered some problems in the beginning. Here what helped:

1. use camellia/rosehip oil (do not do exercises on the dry skin) it gives slippage, so the exercises feel different. This is truly one of the best things to do, those oils hepled me with several problems. Although a week ago I started doing a couple of exercises without oil.

2. instead of regular massage after the exercises done, slap your face with your hands as hard as you can. Start slowly and then gain speed, so that it is painful. I do it just for 30 seconds or so. The face gets rosy, and I feel that it somehow helps.

3. use exercises variations, I found that in some cases variations work better for me, Usually variations require less skin involvement. For example, in eyes exercises instead of placing fingers at eyebrows, I place fingers at eye lash line, and provide resistance from there.
Many exercises variations are described on FlexEffect forum. There are in depth discussions of the lessons as well. You need access not to the regular forum, but to Facialbuiders Only Forum.

The exercises delail probably fits better FlexEffect board...

Keep on flexing Very Happy Very Happy
