Hi I have just received my Alphaderma CE!!
But recently I also ordered Skincenticals Vit C 10% but haven't started using it yet as I have also just ordered Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream and am seeing how it works. I want to try the above one at a time. Here are my questions....
1. How long should I test a product to see if its working? Someone mentioned about a month.
After this I will add either Alphaderma or Vit C serum and then a month later add the other one.
2. How long can I store Alphaderma C and Vit C serum before I start using? I have left them in their packaging so they don't oxidise, but am worried they might lose effectiveness.
Can anyone help as I don't want to waste them but I would like to test them properly... thank you |

I think you'd need to use a product for about a month to see any results but some specific products may take longer (I would imagine). I think in terms of vit C you will see some results in the first month of use. I'm not sure about the Alphaderma CE - if you have visible wrinkles that you are trying to get rid of then I would say that you should see results in a few weeks. But, if not, and you're using it more for a prevention reason then it would ba harder to see definite results I guess. Though you might see a brighter skin tone (vit C) and perhaps other benefits that stem from Alpha Lipoic Acid etc that is in it.
You should store both products tightly closed and also away from sunlight and temperature variations. In terms of the vit C, I've had my bottle of Vivier 20% for ages and it has just started to get a bit yellowish. But I couldn't really give you a timeframe. Perhaps Betterat40 might be able to shed some light on this?

I agree with Mabsy, I would give a product at least a month, that way your skin has had time to renew itself. |

Dear Littlebo,
I too just purchased Vitamin C Serum and Gel for SkinCeuticals and was told to alternate use with the alpha derma (which i am loving). The esthetician thought the a-d was doing swell but she also recommended skinceuticals vit-c program. |

I am using both my vivier vit c and my alphaderm after having called and spoke with someone at Janson Beckett. They told me it was okay to use both together, just to wait a minute or so between applying the two.

Dear Sherri,
I think using the 2 products should produce an excellent result, since they address different issues. also, i am going to alternate rather than use one on top of the other. |

Hi,
I am using my vit c first then applying alphaderm both on my forehead and around my eyes. Sounds like we are doing the same thing Gucci.

Gucci - good to hear! I think the other one might have been way too strong for you to start with.
Lee - I would use the vit C serum first, then wait a few minutes and put the Alphaderma CE over the top of it. |

Hey girls,
I am using in the a.m. as follows: alpha first, around eyes, above nose, above lip (am i getting too graphic?); then i wait a bit and apply B5 gel (skinceuticals); then carita eye lotion (very nice), topped off with utra defense. the next day i leave out the alpha during the morning and sub in Serum 20. of course i cleanse and tone first.
so far, so good. |
