I was wondering if anybody else gets as annoyed as I do when I see an ad or commercial for mascara where the model has super thick and long eyelashes that are totally even and clump-free, it is so obvious that it the false eyelashes and not the mascara. |

I guess I have resigned years ago, and don't really look at promotional photos anymore when it comes to new makeup items. Instead, I just go and have a look for myself, and then decide what I think. And: of course I read reviews on MUA and elsewhere.
Who are the makeup companies trying to fool, anyway? |

Haha, I hate that too. It reminds me of how they use crisco instead of icecream in ads and commercials. |

That's funny! And you know, I still buy the mascara "hoping" for those lashes even though I know better!!! |

Bugs the heck out of me. So typical of marketing these days. To hell with the truth. |

I heard in the news a few weeks ago that Rimmel (I think its Rimmel) was getting sued for false advertising, specifically relating to their promotion of their mascaras. They acknowledged using falsies in their ads but failed to disclose this information...I don't know the specifics, I just remembered hearing about it.
Isn't it obvious that those lashes are fake!? Geez.. |

I hate that too! Most of the ads you can see that they are just drawn on with photoshop!
Did anyone see the Dove commercial about Real Beauty- how they took an average looking woman and transformed her into a hot model with makeup and photo editing? |
