You guys are gonna laugh at me, but I am in need of your good vibes again. I have had one HELL of a bad few months, my pup died, my Grandmother who raised me died, my mom is having these weird stroke things and is in and out of the hospital,my son got a solid diagnosis of Autism, I have been working 6-7 days a week holding together my department all by myself, I broke one of my teeth in half, it goes on and on. Brick wall

I'm going to the casino tomorrow with $100 of my overtime pay to try to get a little extra for Xmas. I haven't been out in AGES, and I finally have a day off.Please everyone, wish me luck, because boy do I need it....... wave

You do need a break so badly.
No lecture on gambling- just have a GOOD TIME and win tons of money.

Greetings and good vibes from America mper! Oh my you have had a run of the blues I hope you made some $$$ but even if you didn't, I hope your time out gave you some much needed therapy. We all take time out in different ways, I only hope this helped.

Well, I ended up going to the doctors for an emergency appointment instead.....guess I wasn't so lucky! Shock

This wonderful community has sent me tons of love on my rougher days, and I hope you're feeling those positive vibes your way too. I'm sorry you missed out on your fun, but good luck recuperating and keep in mind that the casino won't disappear tomorrow. Smile

Have FUN when you go back and enjoy cutting loose a little.

And hey, this may or may not interest you, but I've only gambled a couple times in my life and I always have the most fun when I stick to this formula:

1) I set out a specific dollar amount that I'm okay with completely losing: say $60.

2) I gamble until I've made half of that back, so an extra $30 on top of my original $60, then I pocket the $30 and keep gambling with the $60.

3) I keep doing this, pocketing the extra $30, until I'm at least up exactly my original amount (so at least $60 in my pocket) -- At this point, if I've made back my original amount, I might get wild with my math and just cut my gambling funds randomly instead of by half, but I generally keep at least a little bit from my winnings every single time, assuming I wind up ahead enough to do so, so the funds in my pocket slowly build, regardless of what's on the table.

4) I take whatever I'm "Up" at the end of the night from my pocket, combine it with the original $60 since I'd planned on parting with that anyway, and go on a guilt-free shopping spree with the whole lot. Smile

Like I said, I'm not a seasoned gambler so maybe I've just had enough good luck to be able to do this a couple times, but it sure was satisfying to spend that money and not feel like I was taking it away from a more deserving source! Good luck and have fun.
