Hi Y'all,
I have been dieing to try highlighting my inner eye like Carmindy on What Not to Wear. I found a white highlighter pencil, but am not sure how to use it. Can anyone direct me to a site that explains it in detail or tell me where I should be using it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have been searching forever.

do you mean just the inner corner of the eye, or the whole lower waterline? |

hi, I have been doing this for over 15 years - give or take the years where I lined my eyes with a darker liner
I normally don't go for a stark white, but a softer pearl - the Shu Eumura double-ended pencil is great. Always keep it sharp and simply run a line on the rim being careful not to draw on your eyelashes. On extra-needy days I line the top as well, this is alot harder to do. |

I think Carmindy uses the Benefit Eye Bright pencil which I bought the other day and really love. I just use the pencil to draw a smudgy line on my inner corner and blend. I'm not sure what kind of pencil you have but the consistency of the Eye Bright is kind of like a dry thick cream. If the consistency of your pencil is similar I would just try drawing and smudging like Carmindy does and see how it turns out. |

I love Julie Hewett's omit pencil, sold at EDS! it has a creamier and longer-lasting consistency than the benefit.

I second the recommendation of the Julie Hewett Omit pencil. It's a pale peach color, not extreme or harsh at all. I didn't care for it as a reverse lipliner or a concealer pencil, but it's unbeatable to perk up the eyes. |

I looked on EDS for the Julie Hewett Omit Pencil, but was unable to find it.
Do you apply it on the inside corner on the wet part of the eye and smudge out or do you apply it on the inside corner like eyeliner?
Is the Benefit product called Eye Bright? If so, there is a promotion for a free Eye Bright in connection in Carmindy's new book. Are there any other Benefit products people recommend? |

Glad I'm not the only one who can't find it on EDS. If someone else is able to locate it would you mind posting the link? Thanks |

I took the recommendation from another thread and purchased NARS Albatross Highlighter. It is gorgeous on cheek bones. Today I tried it as an eye brightener (inside corners). It looked lovely. I recommend this products as you can use it on eyes, face, declotee. Great find... Thanks dollbird.

When I last looked, the Omit pencil wasn't on the EDS site. SO I broke down and got it directly from the Julie Hewett site.
I use it as a waterliner, directly on the lower lid rim. It brightens the area subtly, whereas a white or cream looks unnatural to me. Gives a nice, wide awake and well rested look.
I wouldn't recommend it as a highlighter for the inner eye myself. The color doesn't blend well, at least with my skin tone. Perhaps others will have more luck with it there.
I'm getting ready to break down and get the Nars Albatross after all the good things said here. Who knew I needed (okay, wanted) a highlighter?? |

For the white highlight eyeliner, i use that on my lower lid at the first half part. Oh, I do not know how to describe that. |

Thanks for the great tips. I'm going to try this. I'm hoping it will make my dark circles look lighter. |
