My face broke out in small red bumps...I think they're pimples but I'm not sure. They seem to come out all at once. I've been using the Decleor cleansing milk for a few days. I don't know if that's the cause. Anyone experienced that before? I was using Sothy previously. Am I purging? I need help desperately cuz I hate how my skin is right now. Pls help |

I had a similar experience from Decleor products (oil and moisturizers), but my reaction was rather immediate. My skin started itching and my face was covered with small red bumps that look more like rashes. I stopped using the products immediately. Unfortunately, it took weeks for the bumps to go away in my case. I think I was allergic to the high level of essential oils in their products although I can't say for sure. I would suggest you to stop using the cleansing milk for a few days and see if the bumps will go away. |

Thanks andaman_gypsy for replying. I was thinking the same as u too. It might be the oil or Dimethicone in the cleanser. But previously I was using Sothy and it contains essential oil too so I'm confused. |

Yon-Ka was the first product line containing essential oils that I used and I loved all the products I used except for the toner which I found too drying. I went on to try Decleor and that's where the problem began. After that, I tried some home-base company products which also contain essential oils and had the same problem with them as well. That's when I came to a conclusion that Decleor's products and other home-base company products may contain a higher level of essential oils than Yon-Ka's products. That's why I never had any problems with Yon-Ka, but had really bad reactions to others. |

Do a patch test on your inner elbow overnight. Put some on there and put a bandaid on it if you are not allergic to them and then watch for signs of redness.
It could be the high amounts of EO. You could maybe use it mixed with something unscented to salvage the purchase. |

stardusty, have you used cleansing milks/creams before? i was just starting to think that cleansing milks/creams were only for dryer skin types, because they always felt yucky on my skin and caused some sort of build up leading to bumps. i recently tried Sarafina's cleansing milk and it agrees with my skin. i think it might this particular formula causing the problems. |

sakura, I didn't do a patch test cuz I always think that if my arms or elbows are not sensitive to the product doesn't mean it goes the same for my face. Is that true? I might be wrong.
skincareaddicted, I was using Sothys cleansing milk and toner before and the results are nice. I also tried Biotherm cleansing milk and toner before too with no reaction to it. The only new product I used that week is the Decleor cleansing milk and toner so I attributed my skin reaction to them. I stopped using the products for a few days now but my breakouts have not clear yet. In fact, I seem to see more breakouts. They're small red bumps and I guess they're pimples.
I don't think I'll go back to the Decleor cleansing milk and toner even when my face clears up for fear that it'll ruin my skin again Now those products are just sitting on my desk collecting dust and I only used it no more than 6x! What a waste of $! Anyone want them? I might as well be nice and send it out as a christmas gift |
