I have purchased some individual actives to help with my hyperpigmentation and acne. I have some niacinamide and glucosamine that I added to about 32 oz. of lotion. Can retinyl acetate mix with these additives, or would I be better off using the retinyl acetate separately? I would like to have a day cream with niacinamide and glucosamine in it and a night cream with niacinamide, glucosamine, and retinyl acetate, if possible. Thanks! |

Yes, they can be mixed. I would use them seperately though, to get the full affects of the retinyl acetate, because it is a very weak form of Vitamin A, not near as strong and proven as Retin A or Renova. I wouldn't put the retinyl in a jar, I'd put it in a dark pump bottle if possible. vitamin a is very unstable, in the sunlight, that is why doctors, tell you to only use it at night. niacinamide, glucosamine moisturizer is both very good. When my face is really dry, I put it on top of my Renova, a couple of hours later. This is just my opinion, toss the retinyl and buy Renova for only $12.00 across the border, they have $5.00 on shipping this month as well. It's proven, and I have used it long enough to know, it works. Great for regenerating the collagen. My face is so much firmer and hyperpigmentation is gone.
47, olive, medium complexion, normal skin, no acne, roasea, etc. Hope this helps. |

Mariansc,
Thanks! I will definitely check into that. Where do you get your Renova? How long did it take for your hyperpigmentation to fade? |
