I want to get a really good blush that gives a flushed look to the cheeks, like you have been exercising. Exactly the colour of blood rushed to the cheeks. In a gel format, or jelly-like cream.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I am considering ...

Tarte
Pout
Du-Wop
Jelly pong pong

Though Pout is the only one I know for sure I can get in London, so suggestions on where to buy much appreciated also!

Thanks in advance Smile

I like creamy blush from Bobbi Brown.
I applied it after foundation, then cover with loose powder.
The look is just like I have been exercising!

you can also try stila's convertible and pushups. both are multi-tasking, can be used both on cheek and lip.

Well it's neither a gel or a cream, but the one that gives me that flushed, blood rushed to the cheeks like you're glowing from the inside out is Benetint by Benefit. It's a runny, plum-coloured liquid that comes in a nail polish bottle complete with brush. Cool

On, it is gorgeous. Don't be put off by the colour in the bottle, it's completely different on skin. But not just limited to cheeks, this goes on lips for a beautiful bright berry stain (forget the lip pencil!). I just love it. just don't tip the bottle, extremely runny... !!

Lots of people here swear by Julie Hewett's cheekies. Can't vouch for them myself because I haven't yet used them (they're going to be in my next EDS order, though.) The other things I've tried from her line, especially the lipsticks, are really special.

ooo I like the sound of those cheekies. I'd like to know if they have a moist or powdery finish. I think one of these will have to go on my wish list, and it's so convenient they are on EDS.

I found Benetint was a bit blue toned for me (cool), and the Tarte ones I'm not sure about, I'd want to try them out first and there's nowhere in London!

Cheekies though I might take a chance.

I wonder what colour would be good for me of the cheekies, can anyone suggest? I am fair/pale golden skin tone, green eyes, dark blonde hair. I want a natural flushed look.

I personally use Benetint, but I'm very cool so that works for me. I haven't tried them myself but I've heard people rave about Becca cheek stains.

I've just ordered two of the cheekies--the natural and the jami ones. I'll let you know what I think of them. I'm also very fair with yellow undertones.

The tartes are a cute idea but personally, I found them 1/ too sticky. It was almost like cotton candy drying on my skin; it feltlike my face was attracting lint and 2/ hard to place the colour where I wanted. It needs a bit of a rub to get some colour onto the skin yet by the time I got the runup and rub I was covering too much of my face, a feeling made worse by #1.

I had exactly the same issue with the Tarte. I think maybe then a creme would be better. Much less sticky.

But the creme ones just get soaked right up into my skin and hardly show. So then I think about the gels again...grrr, I can't decide.

Years and years ago I used the gel one from Clinique. Maybe in a fit of nostalgia, I'll go the the Clinique counter and get another. It is pretty reasonably priced.

Ooops, gotta go...I hear a kid melting down.

I shoulda said what I DO use that gives that dewy, just exercised glow.

The Cargo 3-in-1 colourtube. I have been using these for years, literally, and at the rate I am going on the one tube will probably be using it for another decade or so. They need a reapplication once during the day but that's it - on top of MMU. http://www.essentialdayspa.com/cargo-color-tube---summer-p_7186.htm

I also have some Prescriptives Rosy Rough Cheek Color around here -- it's a gel too, dunno if it's still made.

If these ever run out, I'm keen to try the Revlon Pinch Me Sheer Gel Blush

Studio Direct Sparkling Shimmering Cheek Glisten & Studio Direct Sheer
Color Wash Blush seem neat too

Ooooo, thanks for that suggestion. I'm so in need of a treat right now. I'm heading to Sephora tomorrow. What shade do you like? I'm hispanic, medium-ish.

Also, a few glasses of red wine also works nicely.

That's my kinda flush. Laughing Every winter, my good pal and I go kayak caroling for charity, and the combo of bitter cold, physical exertion, and hot mulled wine definitely imparts a lovely glow. Too bad it's not easier to recreate!

Hey I think we have similiar colouring, I'm asian but med/neutral/olive late 30s skin.

In the Cargo I use "Bala CO-04" but you should be able to try it, it's quite dark in the tube so a wee bit goes a long way.

Hi!! I have be using Julie Hewett's cheekie in "rose" and really love it. I have very pale skin with dark hair and brown eyes. This colour is very subtle and not a dark, stand out "rose" that most other blushes represent. It is very moisturizing without being greasy. It's also long lasting. I would repurchase this product.

Clinique's gel blushes are nice too. They leave a nice flush to the skin and are easy to blend in.

I've heard raves about Benefit's Benetint like the other poster mentioned...it's on my wish list!

I like the Tartes because they give such a beautiful, translucent glow. I apply them with a foundation/cream blush brush which allows for more control. The Stila Convertible Colour in Petunia and Rose also look great on the skin, but they are a more opaque texture and not so good for oily skin. The liquid tint type products work well on bare skin, but are tricky to blend on top of foundation without getting streaks in the base.

Sweet Lelani has only 1 moist cheek/lip tint and is very close to a natural flushed look.

If you live in Canada, I love Lise Waiter's gel blush. I've been using it for at least 5 years and it gives me a nice flush of color.
