Sorry if this has been asked before. What's the best white eye liner for lining the bottom rims of your eyes. I want something that won't irritate my eyes, but will last. I've heard a lot of celebrities use it as a trick to make their eyes look larger.
Thanks |

Hi Tiffy,
I've been using JI's Eye Highlighter Pencil. It is a chubby double-ended pencil with white on one end and a soft pink on the other. I use it everyday.
When you apply the white side to the inside eye ledge, it makes the eye appear bigger and brighter. When you apply the pink side inside the ledge it gives a soft, radiant effect, especially with green eyes (it's a complimentary color).

Wow, that sounds perfect! I'll have to get it with my next order. Thanks havana8! |

I use Guerlain's loose powder kohl in silver. With taxes it costed me around $50 CAD...
It comes in a little jewel vial! Really cute! |

Thanks for the tip on the highlighter from JI. I was considering one from Julie Hewett but this sounds dual purpose also. |

At the moment I'm using a Nars pencil.
Havana - the JI double ended one, does the pink (or white) have a slight shimmer/pearl look? Was looking at the image on EDS and it looks as if it might? Or is it completely matte? Hard to tell from the pic. TIA |

Good eye, Appletini! There is a slight shimmer/pearl look to both colours or at least it looks slight on me. |

Thanks Havana! The shimmer sounds interesting as I’ve always used matte white. A slight shimmer might look nicer than a matte when doing that extra dot/blob thing at the inner corner, which I sometimes do at night to try and open up my deep-set beady little eyes
The JI pencil is going on my next EDS order. It seems quite reasonably priced too. |

I am interested in trying the JI too, I haven't check out the makeup items on EDS yet, too consumed by the skincare! |

Yup... I've got this too. It's lovely... but mine is not silver colour. It's actually white colour, called 'Secret Glow'. I'm not sure whether they still have it or not, because I remember the girl told me it's a limited edition.
Btw, I've got also the white colour eye pencil in the Guerlain Pucci Eye Coffret. It comes with a beautiful Pucci cosmetic bag. It's a must-have. |

It does't irritate your eyes lining inside? |

I use Shu Uemura Eye Light Pencil White. It has a pearly end and white end. I get no irritation from it like a lot of pencils. I've poke my eye more than once so I'm sure. |

I'm currently using Dior's kohl pencil. (Not the regular eyeliner crayon pencil but the kohl.) |

I like Julie Hewett's Omit pencil for bottom eyerim lining. It's peach colored, which I think looks less jarring than pure white. I've never found it irritating, though I have to admit that I don't do it very often. (My usual makeup routine is pretty minimalist.) |

Do any of you ladies use a shimmery white pencil/white powder product? I would like a recommendation for a product that would achieve those slightly glimmery white-lined inner corners that are often shown on models in magazines. I think if done with the right product and right way--i.e., like the pros--it looks like eyes decorated by a diamonds-like sparkle. I love the look when it's done right. Very lovely for evening.
On the other hand, when done not quite right, it just looks like white-lined inner corners to me and simply strange. |

I like the JI liner. doesn't irritate my eyes at all - I use the pink for the day, and white for night (or for days after a really bad night's sleep )
It has a shimmer to it, but I don't think it's the same kind of shimmer that you are looking for, cristaline. |

I like Eye Bright by Benefit. It has pinkish tint to it, but pink is not that apparent on the skin. |

Cristaline - I suggest the Nars blush called Albatross - it can be used to highlight cheekbones but also looks awesome in the inside corners of your eyes (use a slim eyeshadow brush) - It's a great product.

Is there a knack to the white eye liner that I'm not mastering? My Mom had a white eye liner that I used a few times and honestly, I thought I looked freakishly alien. Perhaps it was 'too' white, or maybe it was a crappy quality pencil (I believe it was Mary Kay....might have been a Revlon). I like the concept of having nice, wide fresh eyes (I lean on the side of beady rat eyes!) but, I don't want it to look too alien/obvious either...
I like the sound of a pearly-pink colour that havana8 mentioned...maybe that's the key to my success! |

Kel, that's how I feel about white eyeliner, too. On me, it looked too obvious and weird. I have found that a peach toned eyeliner gives a nice wide-awake look without being obvious. |
