generally the difference between serums and creams is that serums are water-based and creams are oil based - the base ingredient doesn't generally affect the efficacy of the active, if they are sold in both.
Usually those with oily skin prefer a water based carrier, and dry skin prefers the cream, although the base you pick may also depend on which step in your treatment cycle you want to use the active in i.e water based serums would be used after cleansing and toner wherease cream based would be used towards the last step. |

I think serum is more concentrate and easily for skin to absorb. |

Definitely water based serum allows for faster absorption. Unless you need the extra moisture from cream, I would prefer serum. |

i would say that serums are more concentrated.......i would always stay away from hydroquinone......and go for kojic acid ie the
Peter Thomas Roth Potent Botanical Skin Brightening Gel Complex
which i have ordered and will start for the uneven pigmentation on my cheek area and arm..........
I have heard that if you use hydroquinone....(excuse the spelling if it's...it works well when used and then when you stop using it....the area goes dark.....
i had a friend who used the stuff....
