My skin was just absolutely perfect before... But sometime last year, I started getting pimples on my forhead, cheeks still clear. I tried every kind of OTC product possible, it seemed to have controlled the acne on my forhead.
But now, I don't know what happened. I have literally more than 20 whiteheads on my cheeks. Please help me and advice me what to do now. I'm currently using BP creams but see little result |

It sounds like one or more products that you are using is blocking your pores and the excess oil cannot get out. You need a routine that will help to normalise your skin again. My suggestion would be to have a look at the Osmosis kit for oily skin. I have been using the anti aging kit and I no longer have any oily areas and all my skin now appears normal so I would think that the oily skin kit may also help to normalise your skin and clear the whiteheads. |

I had relatively perfect, acne free skin until I hit my 30s and then bam! All of a sudden I had an oily forehead and breakouts on my forehead and chin. It can be triggered by many things, mine seemed to have come from a hormonal change.
Right now I am alternating every night Mama Lotion and Dan Kern's BP Gel. Seems to be working well in getting my skin to a normal state. |

it could be a number of factors; hormonal change, diet or skin care products.
have you had any change in skincare recently?
try incorporating more fruits n veges in ur diet and lots of water intake to cleanse
try keeping ur skincare routine to a minimal currently i.e cleanse and moisturize.
using something like epidermx for exfoliation 2 or 3 tmes per week.
by the way what is your skintype, members would be able to give better advise with more info |

This may sound strange, but seeing how it's only on the forehead.....have you started using any new hair products near there? If you have bangs and have started using a product with silicones, etc. it may not be agreeing with your skin. Just a thought!
Good luck, I'm right there with you, now on Retin A, hope it works, have only been on it for about a week! |

I was around 26 or so when my skin went crazy!! I am now 34 and had finally got the acne under control when low and behold my entire cheek broke out!! I understand how horrifying this can be!!! However, I also know how to clear up REALLY bad skin in a hurry!! As you can tell this has been going on for years now.
The first thing that I do is get a really good fiber products (not laxative) this helps clean the intestines (just in case there are toxins over loading the colon). I start taking a herbal tincture of Echinacea with a low percentage of golden seal (helps to heal the skin ASAP, and is a mild/safe antibiotical product), as well as some type of Probiotic (to replenish the good bacteria in the intestines).
WHY? Most skin issues that are chronis are internal!! That is the first step and it works much faster than peeling the surface layers of ones skin off.
Externally I use a gentle cleansing gel, toner and use clay mask one a week. I too will use a low dose salisilic acid product to clean out pores if they are clogged.
I have found that over the years it is great to have a good mineral make up to cover red, blemishes. I like True Cosmetics (MEd 2 or Fair 1 - for fairer skin).
I have tried more external products than I can recall over the years and there has been nothing of a miracle product out there, so my best advice is to use what ever you like or think works and do the internal stuff. In that way you work from the inside out. |
