Even us oily girls need moisturizers! It helps the skin not to overproduce more oil when used regularly. I'd recommend a nice mattifying moisturizer like Shiseido Pureness' line.

Since winter has arrived (we don't get snow in the lower AZ elevations but we get colder, drier air!) I've needed extra moisture.

As I'm giving Skyn Iceland a try, I've found two products in this line that have helped me nix the dryness and peeling I've experienced due to weather change and the addition of MaMa Lotion.

During the day, prior to my SPF, I use The Antidote Quenching Daily lotion, which is more like a gel/serum than a traditional moisturizer. In combination with the night cream (the first cream that has never broken me out), my skin is a lot more balanced. I haven't had the peeling since I started using this combo. The great thing, I get the moisture I really need at night, which allows me to use something lighter during the day that won't contribute to the oiliness I already have.

Many feel a separate night cream and day lotion isn't necessary, but I wouldn't use the night cream during the day, as it's too thick and the day lotion itself isn't enough to combat the dryness I've been having. I'm one that likes to use as few products as possible, but this works for me, so I'll stick with it!

I used to be afraid to use a moisturizer on oily skin. Then I discouvered Omega oil that I applied and then I applied Derma 311 SPF 30 moisturizer and it was a perfect combo.

Now I am using Cellcosmet because my skin is combination and acne prone.

I am debating if I should go back to omega oil for the summer season.

After years of searching, I've finally found a few I like: Juice Organics or Juice Beauty Moisturizer w/ 30 spf during the day, and Ice Elements moisturizer and/or anti-aging serum for oily skin for "spot" moisturizing and at night. I still only use it at night about 2-3 days a week though.

I agree that us oily girls still need moisturizer. I've liked emu oil, as it felt light on my skin. Jojoba oil felt a little heavy to me. I'm discovering that oils work better for me than creams. The creams seem to make my pores more congested.

Am wondering whether any oily girls have tried no moisturizer, but sunscreen only under makeup, specifically liquid foundation? Am actually considering this given how shiny my face gets under makeup.

This was my usual routine, until I started using MaMa Lotion recently. I didn't use an additional moisturizer and would just slather on SPF and my LM Tinted Moisturizer. I still had oiliness, but nothing a little powder couldn't fix.

I think this would work really well in summer. In cold, dry weather you'd probably need some moisture in addition to s/s.

I used to have super oily skin until I started to use jojoba oil and pearl paste. I now have normal skin.

Ren's Mayblossom And Konjac Balancing Moisturiser is wonderful at keeping my skin smooth and the oilies at bay...it's a great makeup prep.

I have had the oiliest skin for the last 20 years - you could see the oil on my skin within 15 minutes of washing. I just recently started to use Marcelle's Aquarelle Aqua-Matte Hydrating Fluid.
It has farnesyl acetate, farnesol, and panthenyl acetate. Look these ingredients up. The first two are very good at controlling sebum and the panthenyl acetate is good at helping your skin retain moisture. I have been using the Aqua-matte for about a week now and have found that I only have to blot once or twice a day instead of once or twice an hour. Using a gentle cleanser that is PH balanced helps as well.

Of course.
I use emulsion/cream/gel for oil-comb skin in the summer, and cream for normal skin in the winter.

I have been using the Chanel Precision line for weeks and this has been the longest I have gone without spots in years. Its so boring to use one line but I was getting tired of all the misses. There was a time in college where I spent my monthly wages on Chanel and was amazed at the results. They came throug again. Cool Even during "THAT" time of the month. The moisturizer is Beaute Initiale Multi-Protection Fluid with SPF 15. Gives your skin a nice glow.

I have combo skin and cellcosmets ultra vital works wonders on me! I don't have any pimples at the mo. The trick is to only use a tiny tiny amount because the cream is so concentrated.

Although I really like how emu oil feels on my skin, I've decided I don't want to use it b/c of what they do to the emus to get it Sad . So now I'm looking for something that moisturizes and hydrates my skin in the winter but doesn't clog pores. In summer, s/s is enough alone.

I use a cream based moisturiser day and night, and I have quite oily skin. Always buy well formulated products, they are tested to have low comedogenicity. I use NIA 24 skin barrier repair cream, I was really put off by the ingredients - it even contains silicones, but regardless because it is so well formulated I never break out from it. You can always dust some rice/silk powder like Jurlique silk dust after the moisturiser is absorbed to help with shine.
