I live in a small town so I love the chance to go to the big city and do some real shopping!

Of course I'm going to hit the Prudential Center for Sephora, and Newbury Street. I was wondering if anyone has a favorite bath store/salon that carries neat stuff I might not find just anywhere. Thanks!

Hi Bunny,

I like Boston a lot. I don't have any special bath store or spa stores to recommend but Coolidge corner and Harvard Square have lots of small fun shops to browse. Both are easily accessible by public transport (the trolley - aka "T". Green line for CC and Red for Harvard Sq.

It's been a long, long time since I visited Boston, but I do remember the clothing bargains at Filene's Basement. If it's still there, I'd definitely recommend taking a look.

They have a LUSH on Newbury Street now. And I think the Neiman's in Copley Place is worth going to, because they have so many lines that they don't have anywhere else.

And now there is a Barney's on Newbury Street that you might also check out.

Filene's Basement....where would-be brides will kill one another to get in the store for the annual bridal gown extravaganza! When I watch the recap on the news it amazes me what these women will do to get a bargain on a wedding gown - but yep, Filene's Basement is still there! Laughing

All the suggestions you got are great - I love Boston as well (having grown up just 20 minutes south of it!) - make sure to visit Faneuil Hall just for the cool little shops and pubs alone!

Aw, I'd love to go back there - although maybe not at the wedding extravaganza time. Yikes! Shock

There's a Filene's basement on Newbury street now. Might be easier for Bunny to just stick with Newbury street rather than got to Downtown crossing where the original one is.

Make sure you bring clothes for all kinds of weather though!!!! Laughing rain, sun, snow, wind...We've got it all!
