well ive been reading posts on all of the fallowing products all day:Philosphy, Murad, Epiclear, Epidermex, and many more.

ive been on Pro-Active twice, did wonders for my sister, NOTHING for me, my physician prescribed me sulfa pills, thy cleared up my face but nearly killed me with a fast allergic reaction. i was then give trentoin and benzoil gel, kinda eased thngs but didnt clear anything at all. im now finally being sent to a dermatologist...but i haveto wait till NOVEMBER, well i cant wait that long ,so i turned to this site.
i was wondering if you guys could help me pick a product right for my skin, something not prescribed bc i wont be able to get my hands on prescrptions till november.

im gonna be 18. i have oily skin. most of my acne is on my cheecks and forehead, scattered sometimes bunched, i have alot of dark blemishes, not much acne on my back, maybe a pimple or two.
im currently using neutrogena face wash, im not using anything for moisuture bc my face doesnt dry out, it hasnt been very oil lately either.

please tell me about ur experiences with pkilosophy, murad, epiclear or epidermex.
thank you.
xoxo

i heard that murad's acne line causes acne to multiply in result of clearing the face of any dirt left inside, then proceeds in cleaning the face....if this is true then i think ill skip this product...hmmmm

Mostly all of those acne lines cause an initial surge in breakouts. But I have actually heard good things about the Murad formulation. I've never tried it though.
Yellowmellow, see if you can find a product by "Hylunia" in your area. They have a great Salycilic Acid Cleanser that should clear you up right away with no initial breakout. You'll have to call around to different skin/laser centers or dermatologists to get it, but you do notneed a prescription. They just don't sell it in retail stores.
Good luck,
Padme

I agree with pbsadhaka, I think a lot of products will, at first, appear to make acne worse because they make your skin purge itself of the toxins inside. After that your skin will settle down and improve.

I really like the MD Formulations range. I use their Clearing Complex as a spot treatment for psimples and also use the Clearing Complex mask as a 'preventative' measure.

well for the past weeks ive been going basically product crazy, jumping from one thing to another, not sure of what to order, not wanting to waste time or money on anything that doesnt look worth it. hylunia. i cant find anything guaranteeing that it clears acne, and i cant find a store that has it in stock.

fortunatly i found ZENmed last nite. they have a 60 day trial money back guarantee as well as a guarantee to clear acne. i havent found anything negative about this product yet, i just have to make sure of the ingreients, and then i'll place my order. its not expensive either. i hope this works.
thanks for all your help. i love this forum.

hmm I don't think any product can GUARANTEE that it will get rid of your acne. People have acne from different underlying causes, and some people respond to certain products better than others.
