Anyone with a recommendation for mascara that won't flake? I spend about 11 hours at work each day and by the afternoons my mascara is flaking off into my contact lens. Mad That said....Thank GOD for bi-focal contact lens! Dancing

I refuse to pay more for products, when I can find great for cheap. I too wear contacts, and go nuts when my mascara strays. The best one I've found, which is SUPER cheap: Rimmel Super Lash! Very Happy Stays on a long time, gives thickness & volume, and I bought a tube for ... $2.99 this past weekend, on-sale. It's usually about $5 in Canada.

I too like the Rimmel super lash. It stays on without flaking. But it is a very "wet" mascara, so it can be a mess befor it dries. Also it may run in the rain, wich isn't very practical where I live since it rains a lot. Maybe I'll try the waterproof next time.

I also like YSL faux cils...probably my favourite. Stays on in the rain too Very Happy

Hmmm.....I'll will have to give Rimmel Super Lash a try. I just googled it and it looks like it is sold exclusively at Walmart here in the states. Price is $3. I usually pay anywhere from $16 to $23 for my mascara, so I'll be tickled pink if I like it.

I'll try to get it in the next few days and report back here. Thanks Gals!

LOL - exclusively at WalMart...who would have thought? I've never heard of Rimmel - interesting to give it a try.

I personally like Lancome Definicils. It's not at all clumpy. I wear contact lenses too, but have not had any probs with mascaras interfering.

My favourite, non-flaking mascara (I also wear contact lenses) is the Spectacular Mascara from Rubinstein. A little bit pricey, but definitely worth the price. Very Happy

Rimmel is a cosmetics line from England. In fact, they were the company the was first to make mascara in a tube! Rimmel's been around in the States for quite some time, though I'm not sure whether this is necessarily exclusive to Wal-mart. Can't remember if I saw it in the make-up isles at drugstores, last time I was in the States. It's been in Canada for about four years, launched at Wal-mart, and is now at both Shoppers Drug Mart (national chain) and London Drugs (western Canada). Kate Moss is the spokesmodel for the Rimmel line, by the way.

They sell Rimmel at Ulta, as well. (check out ulta.com)

Well I finally visited my exclusive Walmart here in southern West Virginia Smile and finally got my Rimmel Super Lash too. I wore it today to work and no flaking! I'm really liking it so far and it was UNDER $2! Makes me want to find out about the other products in their line.

Rimmel: good n' cheap! I think that they have another new one, for volume, which has a lash-separating comb. I saw it this weekend, but it was about $7. I figure that I like their Exra Super Lash, as well as it's price tag, so why bother spending more?

Here's one NOT to ever waste your money on: Revlon Color-Stay Lash Tint Speak to the hand The same day as I saw the new Rimmel mascara, I also saw a Revlon Illuminance Creme Eyeshadow/Lsh Tint Duo on special. I'd never tried either, and guess what? I'm bringing them back (kept receipt). What crap! The shadows: greasy & gave crazy creases. The Lash Tint was HIDEOUS!!! Even with my precise applying skills, it clumped together, and made my lashes like these freaky spikes! (think: "A Clockwork Orange") I had to scrub the lot off, AND use baby oil to break down the polymers.

My favorite mascara is Neutrogena's Weightless Volume. Not only does it not flake, but it never clumps and the brush separates beautifully and is the most natural looking mascara I've tried. You can also build with it and I've had no problem doing that as some others that look horrible when you build. Works for me anyway!

Hey guys, or should i say ladies? (:

I'm in love with a new mascara from Jane Iredale, called purelash mascara, I especially love it in Navy. Yep! That's right - it's blue and it's gorgeous! It makes my brownish/gree eyes pop out!

Another good one that doens't flake unless you rub it with water is Bobby Brown Everything mascara, it's more for the evening wear though, since it makes your lashes really thick and noticable.

Thanks for mentioning Navy. I just read an article that said navy mascara makes the whites of your eyes look whiter and brighter. Must try.
