Spirulina can cure acne??

hi guys..i heard that spirulina(algae) is a superfood that also can cure acne...does anyone know that?? i'm curently consume a spirulina and use it as a mask twice aweek(mixed it with moisturizer)..if someone have another info ..please tell me..

Hi PLMA,

Spirulina is considered a superood as it contains very high amounts of amino acids, vitamins and minerals. These nutrients are essential for health and healthy skin, but as a complete cure of acne, I doubt it. It certainly will not harm you but in order to tackle your problem, you need ti implement a good skin care regime and yes, nutrition does play a role.

Just a note about SuperGreen foods--initially they can cause a "detox" effect, flushing out the body's impurities. This means that pimples can get worse before they get better during the first few weeks of a dietary change. Drink lots of water! Cool

hi all..thanks for the info...i really appreciate it...now..it's my 2 weeks in consume spirulina...btw my skin type is oily...i have an acne in my cheek...
