Hi I'm new to this forum and I am looking for some advice on sagging skin products, gadgets or anything (desperate)
I did see the old posts about it, but have not seen the discussion on the Thread lift?
Has anyone done that?
I am 51, my skin looks ok by have horrible nasolabial folds
I'm scared of surgery and still dreaming for the miracle cure.
Have tried CP only with no much luck.
Have you guys heard of the "thread lift" a doctor threads these very small threads and then tightens and lifts the sagging skin.
Not sure if that really works, or actually how long does this last.
What happens later in life when you are ready for an actual surgery? |

| For non-surgical treatment of nasolabial folds facial exercises might be an alternative. Have you looked into facial exercises? |

| They've recently proven Thread Lifts to be ineffective. I'm shocked physicians are still performing the procedure. |

I recently had a consultation with a cosmetic doctor re a thread lift. He said that although it is quite often advertised as a "lunchtime" procedure, this is not the case and that recovery time was about the same as an actual face-lift. Some people that have had it done complain that the threads are visible under the skin - my doc said that this can happen but usually settles down after a few months.
I think the bottom line is that you're better off opting for a face-lift - this is not an option for me at the moment so I'm searching for the "miracle" cure for sagging skin too. I've had Radiesse in my nasolabial folds and marionette lines, but it wasn't particularly successful either. |

I believe Keliu is right, but I've never went in for consultation.
Maybe you should look into Restylane instead and see if using a products like Vivier vitamin C serum and Kate Summerville K8 cream to use with Restylane. |

Thank you for all the replies.
I am too are a little sceptical about the procedure.
I have tried Botox in my forehead (w/o great results, just ok) and tried facial exercises, which did not help either.
Have only gone for one Thermage, but I was later concerned about what the(burnt dermis) might look like under the epidermis when it becomes thinner. (don't think this procedure is that old)
Have not tried DPL or Matryxil3000 with DMAE.
I guess I'll try these before going under the knife, an improvement would make me happy.
I am very happy with BHRT (about 8 months) noticed changes in my nails and gums (my dentist noticed) so that might have something to do with the overall look of my skin (no so bad). |

| More and more drs are abandoning this procedure due to it being ineffective and many complications and unhappy clients.Most end up getting a facelift in a yr anyway;it costs almost as much!I have seen bad results---you can sometimes even see the threads inthe cheeks. www.realself.com has consumer ratings on it...not too good.HTH |

| Pato, when you went for the Botox, did you go to a dr you know really well? The reason I ask is that I've been told some offices dilute the strength of the Botox, while others use full strength. I haven't used it yet, but have a couple of friends who have seen a difference of night and day by using the Botox....they informed me about the diluting, also. Apparently the full-strength v. diluting makes a HUGE difference. |

| those that dilute it will not always admit it. You need to ask how many units you are getting per injection,thats how you can compare the real cost. |

The nurse that applied it took it directly from the little jar it comes in.
I doubt it was diluted. Others going to the same place had good results.
I guess it just wasn't for me. |
