Hi,
I was very excited about receiving in the mail my first Obagi C System Clarifying Serum yesterday.
I applied it to my face last night and at 2am I broke out in hives all over my chest and my back. Its now 10.30 am in the morning and Im still itchy and red.
I am of Sri Lankan background with dark skin.
I will be anxiously waiting for some feedback from those who can clam my nerves or share their experiences with me. |

That sounds like an allergic reaction to me. It is not normal to break out in hives with Obagi or any skin care. I think you may want to see a derm. I would also recommend you only use Obagi under a derm or nurses care. |

Thankyou for your feedback rileygirl.
I went to see my GP yest and she prescribed me Elocon cream and some antihystermine.
The itch is OK now and I still have continued to keep using the serum. My skin is already peeling-so now I relasie how strong the products are.
My hubby has told me off as I am forever looking into ways to lighten my skin when I should accept me for who I am. Suppose the South East Asian culutre has rubbed off on me...but I hope to change that about myself with time.
Have you tried Obagi? |

Yes, I used the nu derm for 18 weeks. It is great stuff, but only under a doctor or nurse. It totally got rid of my freckles/hyperpigmentation. If you are just using the Obagi system to "whiten" your skin, this is NOT the system for you. It is meant for hyperpigmentation. Good luck whatever you choose. |
