A few things spring to mind. Peter Thomas Roth is my fave in terms of getting rid of dark circles. Yes, it is pricy. But it has worked the best for me from all the creams I've tried. It's not the best moisturiser, but it worked really well on the dark circles for me.

Also, Eye Bright from CellularSkinRx and Okusil from the Aplhaderma people. I've been using Eye Bright for a while now and while I don't have any specific problems with dark circles anymore, it is a good eye serum and there have been good reviews of that here. I do find that I need a light moisturiser over that still. The Okusil I have only tried a few times but it is supposed to target puffiness specifically and also has some Argireline in it for wrinkles. I got the impression that it worked well for puffiness pretty much instantly (I've been waking up with slightly puffy eyes, I'm starting to suspect the Lamas Lash Masque Sad ) and I didn't need anything over it - it didnt' feel tight. I would have to try it a few more times to make sure the effects weren't just coincidental.

Chanel has also just released their new eye product, some sort of Eye Tonic. It's a roll-on that is supposed to target dark circles and puffiness as well. I haven't tried it though.

Hi,

I have been using Okusil for close to a month now. It has helped my eye area greatly. My puffiness is fat deposits under the eye. I know I can't completely get rid of that but Okusil has smoothed it out considerably. I am 59 years old. Perhaps if I started using it 10 years ago it would have even been better. Okusil however has dramatically helped my upper lid. The hooded eye area is much firmer.

I also suggest drinking lots of water. I find that when I do my eyes look much better. I have a nice eye pillow covered in satin that I purchased in a salon. When I am really good to myself I leave it in refrig and then place it over my eyes while I relax.

Puffiness can also be a sign of allergies. Try taking Alegra or something like that. If it is allergies you will notice an improvement in a few day. GOOD LUCK!

I’m going to take your advice and purchase the okusil. I just received the Alphaderma and this is my second time using it. So far so good. I’ll let you know how it works out in a few weeks.

Thanks Mabsy and Winnie for your advice Surprised

The Lamas Lash Masque is a mascara-like lash treatment that is supposed to make your lashes healthier and longer/thicker. It's made by the Lamas company. I found out about this product courtesy of Thoughtcrime and bought it about a month ago (or more even).

I don't like heavy mascara on "normal" work days and the Lamas Lash Masque does actually darken my lashes enough so I am happy with it for use in place of my mascara (unless I'm glamming it up). I am pretty sure that I do see an improvement in my lashes. They're not longer, but I do think they are darker and denser. I still haven't decided if I lose less lashes nowadays, that's something that's hard to pinpoint. I used to use it day and night but have now just cut down to during the day. I stopped using this at night because I thought it was responsible for my puffy eyes in the morning. I have since ruled that out. I think it's probably an allergy to something (spring's here - or almost here - depending on which theory you take).

Mabsy...
Is it best to buy the Lamas Lash Masque directly from their website? I notice they have a special where you get the Vit. C eye treatment and the lightening, firming eye cream and the masque for $47.50. Just the masque is $16.75 or something.

I have been looking for a treatment like this for lashes. As I've gotten more grey hair, I do need to have my lashes tinted and still have to wear mascara during the day. Always thought some kind of treatment during the night would be great.

I've always had long, thick lashes and now that I'm 60 Surprised , I can still make them show up rather dramatically with mascara, but I would prefer to make the lashes healthier so that maybe at home, I don't put anything on them and when I go out, I can use a much lighter type of mascara.

Once your lashes have looked dramatic, you feel naked when they don't. Shock

Being in the US it will be different for you, I'm in Australia so international postage is almost always the deciding factor for me. The international shipping on the Lamas site is a bit ridiculous (seeing as I only wanted to lash masque) so I ended up buying it from *searches her old emails*www.heavenlyskin.com. The site looks a bit dodgy but the service was good.

Thanks so much for that link, Mabsy.

I'm very familiar with Dr. Pensanti. I watch her program on TBN.

With her special on the Lamas products the lash masque is only $14.40 and her shipping is less than $5 (for the U.S. at least).

What do you think of the Pro Vita C Plus Vital Infusion? Still looking for something that will help with age spots and was thinking of trying that too.

I am a fan of the Eye Bright as well. I also think the Peter Thomas Roth K Eye Rescue works quite well but is pricey. I like Teamine if your circles aren't too bad and you like a smoothing moisturizer as well.

Hi, Jill,
I think I could see a definite effect after about two weeks or so. The directions say to use for 30 days, twice each day - so I'm still doing that. I'm maintaining results- my circles are better. If my allergies would settle down like they were when I first started using it, I could probably use only the slightest bit of concealer. We need rain here to get all the pollen out of the air. Ugh!
Good Luck!

Hello Ladies,

Thank you all for your tips. I have been using Cellscosmet eye cream and TNS Recovery Complex combined twice a day. The combination works for me, but they are too expensive. I am looking for something to replace them. I am going to try Okusil and Eye Bright. Where can I get Okusil? Is it something new? This is the first time I heard about the product.

Better.... If I remember correctly, you are in Austin? I hear that ragweed season is at it's peak here and will be bad until October Shock

My allergies are certainly responding to it.

I went to Sun Harvest and got some bee propolis gelcaps and that has really helped with my allergies.

We'll probably get rain next week from the hurricane. Bless those who are suffering from the devastation that has already occurred and those that may experience it in the coming days.

Thanks betterat40,...

I don't have any allergies so it sounds like i should expect some results in a week or two...I feel like a drop of this stuff goes a LONG way...are there any tips you have on applying it without tapping it around ur eye forever and or wiping the rest on a tissue??

I use the absolute smallest drop for BOTH undereye areas. I find that all the CSRx products are like this. The tiniest bit is all you need. I think it's the hyaluronic acid base. Makes it really spreadable. Anyhow, I put a drop of the C on cheeks, forehead, chin, neck, chest. Brush my teeth. Put my 1/2 drop of the Eye Bright on. Start putting on my sunscreen. Then I pat the Relaxaline on where I need it, apply my undereye moisturizer (Nivea CoQ10) and that's it for me. I know it sounds like a drag but for me, this actually goes quite quickly. Hope that helped. Smile
