I have a couple of questions about BeneFit products and was hoping somebody out there could answer them.
I have Dandelion and love it but was interested in getting Georgia. I was just wondering if the level of pigment was the same for both products. I don't have to apply much of the Dandelion to get that pinky glow and I find it easy to apply too much but I have read that the Georgia is a lot more subtle in colour. I am fairly pale and don't want a really strong peach colour.
I've also been looking at the Dr Feelgood product. Is it any good? Is it similar to JI Absence? It looks a similar texture but supposedly you can use it under or over make-up. How good is it as a mattifier? Anybody tried using it with mineral make-up? |

| I really like the Dandelion but the Georgia did absolutely nothing for me! It was a total waste of money. Even on my pale skin it barely showed up and by then it looked too powdery. I never thought that the Dandelion was too pigmented though so maybe this will be ok for you. The reviews of this seem to be hit or miss so perhaps it would be best if you found a tester to try first... |

Dr.Feelgood is a silicon(e) primer, probably the first one I found before smashbox photofinish, clinique pore-fect etc.
You get a sponge and pat/smooth it on before make up for best results, I like to think of it as pore polyfiller However it is heavier than the other two. I like it but not as much as photofinish and I don't like the sponge as I feel it spreads bacteria over your face if you're not careful. |

Although I've never tried using Dr Feelgood with mineral make-up, I didn't like it at all and found it to be a complete waste of money. It did absolutely nothing for me.
A shame, as there are some BeneFit products I think are great. |

| I have Georgia, but have never tried Dandelion. I find Georgia does give me good colour. I haven't had the powdery look problem with it as Mabsy did. I have to be careful to not apply to much though, or it will make me look too done. It is very pretty, but I am really loving BE Sorbet instead right now! Very similar colour and result. |

| The Dr. FeelGood is a bit heavy and I agree with Eve about the sponge. It doesn't really mattify though it does soften the appearance of your skin. I prefer the Smashbox primer as well. |

I think the best way forward is to go to a BeneFit counter and have the ladies there do a test make-up on you. I tried the Dr Feelgood balm at the counter and didn't like it - somehow felt very similar to my BodyShop skin matifier so I didn't see a reason to buy it.
Haven't tried Georgia - but LOVE the dandelion powder.
My other favourite product is Eye Bright - fantastic ! |

Thanks for all the feedback on the BeneFit products.
I guess I will take Kween's suggestion and stop by at the BeneFit counter. Won't be asking them for a make-over though. Got cornered by a BeneFit SA once before and she put so much Benetint on my face that I ended up looking like Aunt Sally.

Toe - I was lucky in that when I went to the BeneFit counter the girls were off for their tea break. So I had quite a long time testing their products on my own without them "lurking" around me. Sometimes it can feel a little uncomfortable. But that way at least I bought what I wanted and still, became poorer by 80 odd quid - can you imagine what it'd be if the girls were around? Gee...I'd be dead broke!
Hope you find what you want! |

A lot of it is gimmicky I feel. I do really like their Dandelion, IT Stick, and Eye Bright. BrowZings is also good for keeping eyebrows tidy. |

Yeah, that's what I thought. I've never been tempted by their skin care products, but they are clever at marketing! I may have to try one of their eye sticks the next time I order from Sephora. The Dandelion looks great, and I think it would work well with my skin tone, but I'd be afraid it would be too drying. Thanks for the info, Mabsy. |

I think their products are mostly so-so. But the packaging is adorable! I do have their scent "Maybe Baby" which I love! Perfect for summer.
I think I'd like to try the Dandelion as the colour would suit me, but it looks awfully pale. Do people mostly use it as a blush? |

I think Dandelion is more of a highlighter, but on very fair skin it might be enough to use as a blush. I have medium tone skin but don't like my blush to show up too much so Dandelion works for me. It makes me look awake even if I didn't get enough sleep the night before. And used with a lipstick in a similar pink tone it looks amazing!
Yes, the packaging is adorable, though hard to bring along with you (kinda heavy, plus it doesn't close securely).
I was interested in Georgia coz the warm color base would theoretically work well with my warm undertones. I tried it at Sephora but wasn't taken by it. Could be due to the distorted store lighting though. Hmm, now you ladies make me want to give it another go! |

I have pale skin and I use Dandelion exactly as you would a normal blush. I actually have to be quite careful with the application as sometimes if I'm a bit heavy handed it can look quite strong. The BeneFit SA was very adamant that Dandelion was not to be used as a blush but I think it works really well as one.
I was also interested in trying the Georgia (see original post at start of thread) but after Rosebud has mentioned the MAC Sheertones in another thread I am now wanting to try one of those instead. |

Hiya Toe, the MAC sounds interesting. Same with the Shu Uemura glow on blushes talked about in another thread. So many products to try, so little time... |

About the highlighters, MAC has just relaunched their mineralise skinfinnishes
Should look good over the top of blush, has anyone tried these? |

| I like the Eye Bright, really like the Dandelion and love the Brow Zings. It works wonderfully I think. I have medium brown hair and the 02 is perfect colorwise. |

To hijack this thread and bring it around to my favorite topic – LIPS let me just say that I really like Benefit’s Dr. Feelgood Lipscription 2-piece kit. It comes with an exfoliant that amuses me greatly. I especially like using it, then slapping on the matching silky lip balm then seeking out my boyfriend for a little kissy-face....I don’t know what it is about this particular lip exfoliant, but it makes your lips feel really tingly if you have a makeout session after you apply it! |

| Hi, their absolute best product is called Boi-ing i think. It's an undereye concealer that I've worn everyday for the past year. It is the best thing EVER!! I love Benefit. |

Hi SourApple - I always like to hear about peoples' take on concealers....I've never tried Boi-ing -- what is it that you like so much about it?....and what format does it come in? i.e wand, stick, powder, etc...
Thanks!

| I used Boi-ing until I found JI Circle Delete. Boi-ing does cover well but I found the formulation too dry for me whereas the JI is creamy and more suitable for blending (without tugging too much) around my eye area. Both are a cream formulation in a pot but the BeneFit is the drier of the two. |

Boi-ing comes in a little eyeshadow-style pot. Although it looks as though it should be creamy, I find it to have quite a dry texture, so it's no good for using under my dry eyes as a dark circle concealer.
However, it gives really great coverage over spots and blemishes. |

Mabsy: What color JI circle delete do you use? I have fairly pale pink toned skin. Sometimes ruddy. I noticed that EDS has three shades listed. The dark I can rule out, but I'm not certain on the other two shades. Also I noticed that there is no price listed. Does EDS still carry this product and if so do you know what the price would be?
I am always on the lookout for better concealer. I have been using the Kanebo brush type which is the best I had found for undereye circles without caking, but you can still see the circles. I just bought a Nars Custard concealer in the lipstick like tube that I am in the process of trying. Not sure what I think of it yet. I was reading last night about the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer and Secret Camouflage and also the Paula Dorf Total Camouflage concealer that is similar to the LM. It seems like an endless search sometimes to find something for those circles that covers and doesn't cake and settle in the lines which to me is worse than the dark circles really. |
