Most men aren't too fussy when it comes to skincare, so it's best to start them off "nice & easy", with simple products. They can add-on more later, when they're used to using basics.

First of all, start him with a cleanser; he can use this before shaving, conveniently in the shower, etc. A few goods ones for him to try: Dermalogica's Dermal Clay Cleanser, MD Formulations' Cleanser for Oily/Problem Prone Skin, DDF Medicated Skin cleanser with 5% BP, or Phytomer's (Mens) Detoxifying Cleansing Gel.

Even oily skin needs hydration & moisture! He may like: Phytomer's Nutri-T Anti-Shine Moisturizing Fluid, Dermalogica's Oil Control Lotion, or DDF's Ultra-Lite Moistirizing Face Dew.

I would suggest Dr Brandt Poreless which targets the pores and reduces the pore size. There are cleansers, tiner, moisture and effect which is all work together to help it. Also it's important to moisture. Because there is no moisture, it will produce oil and the pores will stretch for oxygen. Once it is stretched, then the pores will be hard to go back.
