I was probably attracted to this mask simply because it had the words Rhassoul Mud on the front  , and I've heard really positive things about the qualities of this type of mud. I was planing on just buying some plain micronized Rhassoul Mud and then adding water to it to make my own clay mask which I will still do but then I came across the Alva one and bought it aswell.
I actually assumed that it would be a straight forward clay type mask. Though when I did use it I was in for a surprise because it's really nothing like an ordinary clay mask. The word 'peeling' on the front of the tube you would have thought would have given me some kind of indication as to what type of mask this would be  but I bought it in a hurry.
Anyhow I've decided I really love this mask. You apply to clean skin and leave on for 10-15 minutes. The first time I was little shocked because my face began to feel quite hot and when I looked in the mirror I saw that everywhere I had applied the mask, my skin had turned pink. Much like it had the first time I had used the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel, which I have since gone off of.
So this mask is an exfoliating peel type mask, but it works much more effectively for me than the Juice Beauty ever did. It's great for oily/combo or congested skin. It's almost a mix of a traditional clay based mask and an chemical exfoliant. My skin felt extremely soft and cleansed afterwards, and it seems to be helping lessen breakouts.
The only downside for me was the smell, whilst not unpleasent, it's quite a herbal strong scent but it wouldn't put me off purchasing it again
