I love the bare-faced look of tinted moisturizer, but since I need more coverage I use a liquid foundation. Today I pumped my moisturizer (a lotion type) on the back of my hand and mixed in my foundation and viola! Tinted moisturizer. It gives me nearly the same coverage as with using regular foundation, but without any caking. It was perfectly even and natural looking. Does any else do this?
If you use an actual tinted moisturizer, what brand do you use? |

I use Bobbi Brown Tinted moisturizer in extra light for my combination skin, works very well! |

You can also do this neat trick with the mineral powder foundations. You just mix in a bit of the powder to your usual moisturiser and voila! Plus, mineral powder foundations are good for your skin, which is an added bonus.
At the moment I'm using Tarte Smooth Operator foundation. This is quite sheer and moisturising, I would classify this more as a tinted moisturiser (a lot of people do). I highly recommend it! |

A cosmetician friend told me that mixing your moisturizer with foundation can be bad for your skin because you skin will absorb more foundation and can clog up easier... I'd just buy a more sheer foundation or use the mineral foundation that will not clog your skin up. |

I used to do that, mix a bit of foundation but with Clarins touche eclat, you had to work fast though of it went bitty.
The your rebel from Benefit is a good tinted moisturiser not sure if it is suitable if you have really oily skin. |

Really? I've never heard that before. Well maybe now I'll stop being lazy now and actually go find a tinted moisturizer I like, haha. |
