What is your cleaning schedule for your house or apartment? When I lived with roommates we had a cleaning service, but I can't afford one on my own now. I've been doing a major top to bottom cleaning every other week, and breaking out the Oreck to vacuum on weeks in between. The cleaning lady used to come every other week, so I think this is sufficient, but wanted to see what everyone else does. |

I use enjo in the bathrooms, kitchen, dusting and floors. My vacuum cleaner is a dyson. The enjo is fast and chemical free. I do this weekly. |

What is enjo? Is it a type of cleaning product? I am trying to switch to all "green" cleaning products as I run out of my current ones. For my vacuum I like my Oreck because I prefer a vacuum with a bag. I think I am going to set aside time on the weekend to do my cleaning because I am so exhausted by the time I get home from work and the gym. |

I am working on setting a cleaning schedule but am having to de-clutter my house first. I enjoyed the Speed Cleaning series of books by Jeff Campbell and bought a bunch of his cleaning products that I really enjoy through his website. I am hoping once I finally get rid of all the clutter in my house I can get on his speed cleaning schedule and get it done quickly once a week. His products are effective and environmentally-friendly as well. |

Enjo is a fibre-based cleaning system that was developed in Austria that uses mainly cold water (if any stronger agent is required it is all natural and organic) to clean. Have a look on their website. Enjo has reduced my chemical load to just washing powders, dishwashing liquids and personal care like shampoo and face stuff. It has also reduced the time it takes me to clean as well. It is well worth researching if you want to reduce your chemicals and save time on cleaning. I have 3 bathrooms, wooden, polished floors, and 2 stories to clean. |

Retired, and downsized from 12 rooms to 5. Cleaning has never been so easy;
vacuum and wash floors once a week
clean bathrooms twice a week
dust, furniture, + nick nacks etc. once a week
pool cleaning + chemicals weekly
then just the typical daily straightening.
I never had the luxury of a cleaning service, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with a stranger poking around my house anyway. |
