If you are thinking about using Anorex or Leptoprin or any other so-called weight loss pill made by Klein Becker (or the many other names that it does business under), you should be aware of the fact that the US Federal Trade Commission sued them for, among other things, claiming effectiveness for weight loss when there was no scientific evidence to support it and claiming there were clinical studies that did not exist, and falsely claiming that one of its spokespersons was a medical doctor. Without admitting guilt, Klein Becker (and its other incarnations) agreed not to market those products (or any similar products it might develop) by directly claiming or implying that it would assist in weight loss and it agreed to pay a 3 million dollar fine.
