Yes. It's wonderful.
8-) Well over a year ago, so I can't remember if it was used to tighten skin or remove discoloration. I do remember being thrilled and amazed that it actually worked.
Isn't that something to be proud of - doing so much I can't remember what was for what. |

It's supposed to be for pigmentation, scarring, and under eye wrinkles. Do you remember how many treatments you had? And did you have a lot of redness or peeling? Thanks! |

I tried fraxel.
I had great skin but had some scarring that I was hoping to fill in.
I had terrible results - my skin is in a worse state now than when I started. I have large areas of pigmentation on my face that over six months later has hardly faded. And deeper lines around my eyes.
And my scars remain with very little improvement.
It was costly and has caused so much stress for me.I really regret my decision.
It was only till I did more research afterwards that I found others had experienced pigmentation after fraxel also.
Whereas others like chinachatters have experienced positive results.
Proceed carefully and hope you are one that it works out for if you choose to give it a go. |

Its VERY expensive, relatively new, does not always give the results it claims...be careful I have been screwed for 1000's by people who claimed lasers could help you. Do more research on plastic surgery websites ....www.makemeheal.com is very good for those who are interested in procedures such as these. |

I did Fraxel a year ago and I too had worse skin after than before. Never again would I try it or recommend it. Acne scars got larger, broke out horribly. I am now doing the Cool Touch to reverse those side effects, on my 3rd one and hoping for some results to show soon, although it takes 3-18 months.
I am glad to hear some people were happy, but if you have very sensitive skin, do some research. |

I have never had fraxel but I have read many negative comments about it and very few positive ones...I research it before you spend a dine...

Hi Annie,
I too had the most terrible cystic breakouts during and after fraxel. I was usually the get a pimple every now and then type of face, but for months I had them continuously.
I eventually went went and seen someone new and they put me on differin and duac to control the acne. Although it took a while it finally cleared up. |

Wow! There are tremendous differences in skin, aren't there!
My fraxel treatments were done by a dermatologist friend who gave me a cut rate. My series was four or six treatments. Again, I really don't remember what the treatments were supposed to correct. I do remember being thrilled with the results and having no serious after effects - redness, burning, etc. Nothing like that.
I'm going on Monday to see what the electric needle will do. (I'm fascinated with the technology.) I have syringomas around my eyes and some keratoses that still have to go. I have prescription cream to put on a half hour before , probably for numbing, and the warning that I can't go out for a week because I'll have scabs.
I've learned that all the gadgets do something - it's just that the paying customers have higher expectations about what "improvement" means than do the purveyors of the expensive services. It's not in the doctor's best interests to tell people they won't notice any difference after they make thousands of their dollars thousands of his.
For many years, makeup was the answer to everything but really dark, rough patches or bumps under the skin. I think it still is. |

Ellen Barkin uses Fraxel technology - it seemed to have worked for her. Isn't this painful? |

Ellen Barkin looks great too. It's also in the hands of the operator. Mine was on a learning curve.
