Hello,
I am having Juvederm injected in my tear troughs on Friday and maybe the NL lines too.
Anyway, what can I do to help with pain, swelling, bruising?
Tips? when do I massage? apply ice? take Arnica for bruises?

| Take Arnica before the injection and during and after. cOLD COMPRESSES LIKE ICE OR FROZEN BAG OF PEAS. It shouldnt be so bad.My dr says juvederm only lasts 9 DAYS longer than restylane. Good luck...fillers have very different results for eah individual,hope you are lucky and it lasts a while. |

Hi Ladies,
Since this is my first post introduce myself. My name is Susan and I've just recently found this site. It's been amazingly helpful and informative so thank you to all.
I made an appointment for botox and restylane injection which is usually what I have done. When I arrived at the spa yesterday I was told they are using juvederm and no longer use restylane. I was a bit upset that I wasn't told this at the time I made my appointment but anyway.... I had the juvederm ultra injected in NL area and a small amount in the upper lip because of nasty lip lines. I've always been happy with the instant gratification of the restylane but I didn't get that 'warm fuzzy' with the juvederm ultra. It's only been one day but I am bit disappointed. My Dr. did tell me to give it two weeks and if I was still unhappy she would get the restylane, I may just take her up on the offer.
Also, I bruise very easily too. I use the arnica but I've never used it before my injections, thanks for that tip lucyluc I'll definitely try it next time. I do take extra dosages of vitamin C and E which seems to help somewhat. |

Barefootgirl, I was always told not to massage the area where the filler is injected, it can cause the filler to move to other areas before it sets, you may want to ask about that. |

I had used resty in the past and am now a juvaderm fan. It has lasted so much longer for me. I did bruise more but it was so much smoother and I didn't get the resty "bumps" at the injection sites. I also use the arnica but I still had a little as I bruise at a touch.
Hope you like it. I did a review of it here over a year ago, and it has still lasted this long. |

| I'm really considering doing this for the lines on the side of my mouth. I don't have folds there, just lines. Serves me right for being so damn happy all the time! Just wondering.....what is the cost approx? |

| I'll have to go for a consultation. That sounds fairly reasonable. Would 1 syringe fill 3-4 small lines? |

WOW! that is a great price because I was quoted $450.00 to $550.00. I have never tried juve but I did have one syringe of Resty and it was wonderful but did not last at all. I have contacted several places but no one is offering Resty anymore. |
