Hello,

I remember reading somewhere that there are certain skincare products one can use that will make dermal fillers like Restylane last longer...

Has anyone else heard of this?

I can't see how they would work, but remember reading about it...

Thanks, BF

I dont believe that is true.I do know that you need to keep your body well-hydrated drik plenty of fluids. Your metabolic rate will determine how long fillers last, sometimes exercising will make fillers not last as long.It is an individual thingMost fillers only lasted 30 days, whereas for othwer people they might get 8 months. I got artefill the permanent filler in NL,got tired os spending $$$$

I had juvaderm a year ago and it still looks good. The restylane only lasted about 6-7 months, maybe 8 at the most. Lots of water and vitamins does help, but it is mostly your body's metabolism rate as to how fast it gets absorbed. I understood from a Paul Harvey radio show one time, that your own body begins to form collagen around the filler to some degree. Don't know if that is true but it does make sense in some ways.

I suppose that if you used hydroxy acids, copper peptides and Vitamin C, you might be able to reduce the lines so that it wouldn't be so obvious when the filler wore off.

I didn't like Restylane at all, btw. It stings like hell when they inject it, and it didn't last very long for me (less than 6 months).

ArteFill is great, though!
