38 years old and two kids later, I have developed not so nice peace fuzz on my face, mostly in the "side burn" and jaw line area, and dark patches on my face. A friend has laser treatment to get rid of facial hair. Am wondering if some sort of laser treatment would help the fuzz and dark patch problem? (I would rather not shave or use depilatories on my face!) Thanks ladies.

To the best of my knowledge Laser only works on dark hair and it is very successful

Like the previous poster said, laser works on dark hair. Not light hair, and definitely not peach fuzz.
I wouldn't really recommend using laser hair removal on your face. While it's great that it worked out for your friend, the odds are just as likely that it could have ended in disaster. You have to shave the area being treated before the laser is used, and the laser can sometimes cause that light hair to grow back far worse. You may end up creating even more of a problem for yourself. I'd recommend looking over at the hairtell.com forums for more details.

Your best bet for the face is electrolysis. It does attack lighter hairs, and the hair removal is actually permanent. Of course, the tradeoff is that the sessions take more time, since they literally go hair by hair. But you'd likely be fully completed faster than with laser, since you have to wait so long between laser appointments (and need roughly 6 total), whereas it's more like a week between electrolysis appointments.

it will not work on peach fuzz hair and will make your problem worse Exclamation you dont want those areas with peach puzz to turn out full blown very noticeable hairs. dont even think about trying laser for these Shock
