hoping you ladies can help me out with some suggestions!!
i'd like to get my mom some nice skincare. i feel kinda guilty to be ordering stuff all the time yet she just keeps using stuff she got at the drugstore (shiseido whitia, RoC, avene). i feel like i should get her something more "luxurious" (though not something like chanel or armani- i don't make enough to just randomly gift my mom with $1000 in skincare at once!)
what's good for a woman in her 50s? she has oily skin but i think oil production slows down as you get older or something? probably something for wrinkles, uneven skintone, etc...
TIA!!! |

It depends on what your mom would most appreciate--something that feels lovely right away or something that, used consistently over time, will help with aging skin issues. If you think she would prefer instant gratification, I'd go with a high end moisturizer or eye cream. If she has the patience to wait a bit for results, I'd think about Vitamin C serum, a good OTC retinoid, and possibly an AHA product.
Here's another thought--does she exfoliate regularly? If not, a good exfoliant (either a gently scrubby product or an enzyme peel) gives terrific, immediately visible results.
Either way, what a great daughter you are! I'm well into my fifties and I'm the one that buys stuff for my daughter, not vice versa! |

I agree, you are a sweet daughter!
Get her a Derma Wand. It's a great hand tool used for oxygenating, lifting + firming the skin. It gives a great eye lift, which increases with use. I couldn't live without mine, I love it.
http://www.dermawand.net (you can view a video there)
http://www.hsn.com (best price is there, enter derma wand in keyword search)

I know I sound like a broken record I highly recommend Janson Beckett's Mineral Prep and AlphaDerma CE. It is my HG line of antiaging creams. I don't like to see people spend money foolishly so I always advise samples. EDS now gives a 5 day sample pack free with AlphaDerma purchase. JB's C&C serum is very nice.I think EDS sells the samples also . Your Mom should be using a good C Serum and sunscreen without a doubt.
There are several other lines I would recommend if JB did not work out...like Pure Skin Formulations. I don't want to overwhelm you.
Good luck! |

I don't think you can go wrong with PSF products.
My mom, who is in her late 50's, loves PSF's DMAE. She also likes emu and HA serum from Garden of Wisdom (they have really reasonable prices too).
Maybe suggest Retin A or Renova for fine lines and wrinkles? |
