I'm *thinking* of investing in a really good skincare line, as I dont want to waste my money on useless products that causes even more breakouts and makes my skin worse than it already is.
I'm interested in the Cellcosmet line and would like to know if its any good for me: 22 year old, acneic, sensitive, combo, dehydrated skin.
I dont have any wrinkles and dont really need anti-ageing stuff so I'm unsure of whether Cellcosmet might be too rich for me.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks |

Personally, I do not rely on the vitamin c & e with Cellcosmet.
I rather use Cellex-C, Skinceuticals and my personal favorite, Vivier. I found that anything with vitamin e clogged my pores, but that is my personal experience.
I don't think that Cellcosmet has enough of the two vitamins.
I am confused on which is better for acne: Ultra Vital or Concentrate.
I've been using Ultra Vital, but in the summer sometimes I do not wear it during the day. Only evenings, because it get really humid here. In the winter, now that is a different story, I apply it twice a day and I make sure I don't put on a lot at once.
I always wash my face after I use any physical exfoliator. With Cellcosmet, I found that I didn't have to, but I don't think it is strong enough (gritty) for me all the time. I used to use KIAJ on almost daily basis, but when I got Cellcosmet, I found it to be perfect for daily use and KIAJ on weekly basis.
As for the cleansers, both the cream and gel version are excellent. I do use my Clairisonic brush with these cleansers and with Cetaphil.
As for the Activator gel, I didn't like it at first and now I do. It does not dry out your skin and I found that whenever I needed extra help to battle one acne, I used the Activator gel, then applied Cellcosmet exfoliate on top of the acne and used it as a mask. I found that it help speed up the acne cycle a lot faster. Sometimes I use Kate Somverville's clearing mask.
I love the eye cream. You need very little and sometimes when I put too much of the eye cream on my finger, I put the rest on my lips and they feel so soft!
Overall, this is a very good line, but if you have those hormonal breakouts, you may need some extra help, like Kate Somerville's clearing mask. I cannot give you a good review for long term use of Cellcosmet precious mask.
I've tried the anti-stress mask and that is sooo nice! I would not use this on weekly basis, but monthly. I was afraid to try it on weekly basis, just in case I would get a reaction to it.
I've been using Cellcosmet over 2 years and I'm very happy with it. |

Hi
I posted a detailed review about my experiences with Cellcosmet skincare
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=26435
I also have the same issues, congestion, dehydration and excessive sebum production, but I used the Concentrated cream and it is not too rich for me at all. The formulation of cellcosmet products is excellent and is well researched to not cause issues with blocked pores.
You can always buy a sample pack to try as a little does go a long way. I have just finished three months with NIA24 and going back to Cellcosmet as an evening moisturiser. I don't know of any other cream out there that absorbs as well and also has good anti aging properties. |

Hi yeahyeah,
Before making decision on choosing a skincare line, the most important thing is to know what skin care problem you concern the most & which skin care line is targetted to solve your problem.
As I know, most Swiss brand including Cellcosmet is good at anti-aging. If you are not looking an anti-aging skincare line, then Cellcosmet may not be suitable for you. But you are only 22, I do think it will be very easy for you to keep your skin beautiful.
Good Luck!

Thanks for all your replies!
I actually wrote to Cellcosmet asking for recommendations for which products to get for my skin type and just received an email back (on Sunday ). They said that its best if I use Juvenil, but that can cause purging for the first 2-3 weeks, as it deep cleanses the skin.
I did a board search on Juvenil but found nothing at all , anyone using this???
I was thinking of getting the Ultra Vital to use as a weekly treatment (as I've used a little sample of this and found it very moisturising) then get the free gift (sensitive trial set as my skin is quite sensitive) and ask for samples of the Juvenil and Concentrate...but as that's about £100+...I'm still thinking about it |

I've jsut found a website that sells Cellcosmet at a reasonable price and was wondering if anyones purchased anything there:
http://www.kosmetikkaufhaus-zapf.de/cellcosmet/cellcosmet.php?Kennung=ed6bf063884974dc13cacde54bf860b2
Although its slightly more expensive than EDS, I think they're based in Switzerland so us international girls dont have to risk paying taxes that can get up to £70, if you were to order any Cellcosmet products!
They also offer free delivery and 3% off on orders over 100 euros (5% for 200 euros), so its quite reasonable..as long as they're genuine products that is
Anyone ordered from the website mentioned above, please share your experiences , as I want to try ordering some moisturisers there. Thanks |

Hi,
As I know, Ultra Vital is developed for women over the age of 35, so it may be too rich for you. If you keep on using rich cream at young age, it will be difficult for you to use back a light cream.
If you are looking for a cream for acneic skin, you may consider Valmont's Adaptation. It consists of two creams - Adaptation & Adaptation Night. Adaptation should be used in the morning to control sebum while Adaptation Night is used at night for nourishing. |

I'm a little confused but it doesn't take much. Is Cellcosmet for anti-aging? I received samples from eds and was planning on trying the line this week. I am looking for a good anti-aging routine..

If you want to find more information on Valmont, you may go to their official website. Sorry! I can't tell you the website here because EDS doesn't allow new member to input a website in a post. |

Hi Mike...I tried googling Valmont but I couldnt find their official website
Maybe you can just type the website out but substitute the symbols for words - like . = dot
I may give Valmont a try IF Cellcosmet does not work for me.
I will definately try Cellcosmet Juvenil and Sensitive when I get a reply from the website I mentioned above (which is in Germany not Switzerland ).
Miranets, how come you didnt use Juvenil instead of the concentrated? |

We all know that lotions and cream cannot do any anti aging or reverse wrinkles. Creams makes your skin look better and even it out, although you do not need expensive creams, it is the fact that using luxury cream as a nice daily treat and some brands are so concentrated that you only need to apply very little.
I should look into Juvena, but I do not plan to switch to that brand. Maybe I will try their body line.
Please let me know if you do try Juvena, what is your review, details of your skin type and your environment.....meaning do you get snow, wind, dry and hot air or lots of humidity....this can all affect your skin and what brands you should be using. |

I ordered from the website above on the 12th and the parcel came today (14th)!!!
So excited- I ordered the Juvenil Day and Sensitive Day and it came loaded with samples . I didnt know that I could request samples like here on EDS, but on the order page, it lets you tick the brands that you would like to receive samples of IF they have them in stock. So I ticked Cellcosmet and Valmont ....and I got 7 samples, they're more like trial sizes than the tiny 3 applications samples
The CS was great and emails were replied promptly. Even though the website's in German, the order page allows you to choose the display language. The products as far as I know are genuine, as it's well within its best before date and is sealed with a celluar quality control lot number, and the fragrance smells like the samples I used from EDS. Best of all, no need to pay tax! As much as I love EDS, I think I will order the Ultra Vital from them too! |

Hi Mike
I didnt buy from EDS, I bought from the German website. I didnt get the anti-stress mask but I'm interested in it too . Maybe you could try PMing Skincare for details on the anti-stress mask as she mentioned she really likes this mask and she's uses many Cellcosmet products too. |

Just a quick question: should moisturiser go before or after Retin-A?
Just started Retin-A this week (purchased from ADC) and I'm unsure whether to use it before or after the Cellcosmet moisturiser??? I'm thinking of applying Retin-A then waiting 30mins then moisturise |

Hi,
Retin-A should be used before a moisturiser.
Retin-A can't be used on top or its activity will be damaged by environmental factors. |

Hi yeahyeah,
Just want to remind you one thing.
Since you have a sensitive skin, please don't not use Retin-A or AHA too often or your skin will become more sensitive.

Hi Mike...thanks for your replies.
I'm using Retin-A for my acne, so even though my skin will peel and redden, I'm willing to risk that to control my acne! |
