So, I recently started using Garden of Wisdom's Renew Cream that contains Renovage. It's been awesome for my face - renewing the skin and brightening overall.
Thing is, I just kinda slop it on, esp in my chin/mouth area as that's the part of my face that is recovering from hormonal acne. In just a few weeks, I have noticed that my lips have really improved. They're really smooth, plumped, linefree and the colour is very even (I am asian and used to get darkening on the edges).
It's the neatest thing and completely unexpected.
I had always exfoliated my lips but that only helped keep them smooth. It didn't affect the colour or plumpness.
This is going to cost me a fortune in lippies as I start showing off my newly improved smoochers though ;-/
Anyone else has a similiar experience using face products? |

Sounds interesting. I am always on the search of products which can improve and hydrate my dry, flaking lips.
What kind of ingredients in this product will make it beneficial for the lips? I have never heard of renovage...

I really didn't expect this product to be good for lips. Upon reflection, I guess the skin on the lips is thinner so it benefited even more than my face. I think the cellturnover effect of the Renovage increased the benefits of the oils.
Here are ingredients of the cream:
Distilled Water [solvent]
Polawax NF [emulsifier]
Lingonberry Fruit Ext [naturally lightening and a pretty red!]
Renovage [see below]
Sunflower Oil CP [what is more beautiful than a sunflower in nature]
Kukui Nut Oil CP [derived from the rich, pure kukui nuts in Hawaii]
Grapeseed Oil CP [this is the cold pressed variety, rich with exceptional ability to penetrate without leaving a greasy feel]
Lingonberry Seed Oil [rich in linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acids; rich in plant sterols; lightening; conditioning]
Stearic Acid [thickener]
Pantothenic Acid [healing, conditioning, moisturizing]
Optiphen [preservative], no parabens or formadahyde releasers
Galactobarian [natural polysaccharide to help bind water to the skin while showing promise as an enhancer to some ingredients]
Here's some info on Renovage:

Thank you so much for all the information, k!(orangewasabi).
It sounds tempting that Renovage works on origin of youth, as it's claimed on the website. Natural oils are always a good thing.
It's a pity that I just placed an order from GoW. |

I put NCN's 30% pumpkin peel on my lips while I do the face and it does a great job. Test first though because that is a high % and lips are sensitive tissue but it works great for me.
Also using toothbrush or "microdermabrasion" cloth or sponge to exfoliate lips in between treatments. |
