Alley,
You always could try it but don't blame me if you take off your eyebrows! |

Alley,
Not sure the threading device will work well on eyebrows. It is a spiral cord with handles. You definitely won't have as much control over what hairs you take out as plucking.
I do near the tops of the eyebrows and in between a bit but not the whole eyebrow with the Epicare knockoff. You always could try it but don't blame me if you take off your eyebrows! |
sadly it wouldn't be the 1st time |

When a girlfriend told me she shaved her face I was shocked .
But I realised she had fab skin really fair but very clean and she is one of those girls that will not spend more than $10 on a skin care product lol
So I tried it and it makes my skin so clear I don't know why but it does..
I have to shave maybe once every 3 weeks as my hiar is thin and fair..
Also my make-up looks soo much better now. Just make sure you use a fresh razor. |

I share the same problem especially when I was younger. Now that I am older it was lighter, but I will never shave it as I shave my legs and the hairs grown back darker and stronger...Now my daughter has the same problem, any suggestions on waxing it or laser? |

I tried shaving my face, after a long thread on it, here.
I got a couple of tiny sebaceous cysts which I'm pretty certain came from the shaving experience.
I dont think it suits all skin types! |

catski,
Did you try any other method other than shaving your face? I would like to know if you try laser or waxing so I can decide what to do with my daughter. Thanks, |

join the crowd, sister! LOL! Just teasing ofcourse.. Just bleach it with Sally Hanson bleach kit and it won't even be noticeable if the hairs are fine. Once that stops working (that worked for me for about 8 years) then you just wax it, have it done professionaly..don't shave it, whatever you do, and the waxing is painless and if done right it should last awhile. I serioulsy think mine comes back finer now that I've been waxing for awhile. Good luck and don't let it bother you too much! It's an easy fix. |

As I posted earlier in this thread, for facial care removal, I love the Epicare knockoff that uses the threading principle.
Do a search here on EDS with Epicare in it and you will find more info and feedback from others.
Here's one such thread:

You can get an Epicare knockoff for cheap on Ebay. This is the seller I've bought from multiple times (1st for myself; then for others as gifts):
http://myworld.ebay.com/kakahealthcare/
The listing is titled:
MANUAL FACIAL HAIR REMOVER THREADING FOR MAKE UP *DIY**
Price $3.99 + .54 S&H
I see other sellers listing it for even cheaper but I've personally had good experience with Kakahealthcare.
Be sure to check out the videos on how to use the device:
http://www.facialhairthreading.com/
http://www.thinkbeauty.co.uk/demovideo.html
The device you'll receive just has pictures on the back of the packaging and instructions in an Asian language...
You'll get used to the wrist action and it'll work like a charm! I do it while watching TV. No need to look in the mirror... |

It is NOT TRUE that shaving causes hair to grow thicker!!!
From Lawrence Gibson, skin care specialist at Mayo Clinic:
No. Shaving hair doesn't change its thickness or color. The color, location, thickness and length of hair on your body mainly depend on genetics and hormones. After you shave body hair, it may feel coarse or "stubbly" for a time as it grows out. During this phase, it may be more noticeable — and may appear darker or thicker. But it's not.
See your doctor if you have a sudden increase in facial or body hair. Some medical conditions and medications may cause changes in hair growth or color. |
