I really like this foundation. It is creamy and smooth. It spreads well and blends well with my skin. It's not oily, so you get that nice matte look. It has SPF 20, so you're protected from the UV rays.
I'm not picky with foundation, but my main requirement is that it provides adequate coverage where I want to hide blemishes. Well, I also don't want it to cake up my face, so when I smile, it cracks. That's ugly. I don't think that's too much to ask from a foundation.
Anyway, this Lancome foundation passes both requirements easily. My face looks smooth all day, and it covers up my little spots quite well.
So I'd definitely recommend it to all my friends. |

Hi Bira, I agree 100% with your review of Renergie Lift. Of the hundreds (possibly thousands) of foundations I've tried, ( I'm a desperate sucker for grandiose marketing) this is the one I keep going back to. The coverage is perfect (not to heavy or too light) the slip is just right for spreading evenly and it lasts all day without caking or settling into my 60+ year old wrinkle lines. I can't seem to find a perfect color for me though, so I have the SA give me a little vial of a darker shade and I just mix the 2 colors in the palm of my hand. Thanks for mentioning it. |

Is this a moisturizing foundation, or is it a little drying? Best to apply with fingers, sponge or brush? Does it come in one main color tint throughout the shades/tints, i.e. pinkish, or yellow, or does it have both options? What's it's retail price?

I tried a generous sample from Nordstrom some months ago and agree that it is quite nice. It's a little heavier and more matte than I prefer, though. I didn't find it drying, but being matte it can look less dewy than some, like Chanel's Vitalumiere.
I had a hard time convincing the sales clerk to give me a light enough color--she kept insisting that one particular shade was "universal." Not true, of course. I thought it was pretty neutral though on the pink-yellow axis, so maybe that's what she really meant.
I couldn't get even enough application with fingers and so used a skunk brush. The little sample bottle lasted me over a week that way. |

Hi Caboodle, it's a moisturizing foundation (but not too much) I always use my fingers because I worry about bacteria in sponges, wasting product and my fingers seem to spread the foundation more smoothly. I can't remember the price. Google it. |

Caboodle, I apply with fingers and I don't find it necessary to use any moisturizer before I use this foundation. I just wash my face and apply the foundation and go. I don't remember how much I paid for it, maybe $40 or $50. |

Thanks for your input, Bira, Determined and flitcraft! I'll definitely put this on my list of foundation to try. |
