Does anyone wear these? I just started wearing glasses 2 years ago (everything went downhill when I turned 50!) and I hate them. I'm trying to find out all I can about trifocal contact lens. Any comments - good, bad or otherwise would appreciated.

My Dr prescribed lenses that let me see better at a distance in one eye and close up with the other. Sounds crazy, but the brain figures it out so that you really don't think about it. I am too vain to wear reading glasses, so this works!!
My mum had bifocal hard contacts a long time ago, and hated them. I think she just never got used to the hard lenses. Mine are soft daily wear DuraSoft, and very comfortable. HTH

I think Bausch&Lomb makes a multi focal contact that works at all distances. They may be my next contacts.A friend at work has them and loves them.

I wanted to get the bifocal lenses a couple of years ago, but they were not available in my base curve -- the Rx was available, but the lens would not physically fit my eye. People have told me that they take some getting used to, but they love them after that. I hope it works out for you!

I would make sure you have the best optomitrist you can find, then get ready for several fittings and trial pairs. I have a pretty bad astigmatism and had just dealt with a bad contact lense fit for several years until I started seeing a really good dr. even then it took awhile to find the right rotation and the right fit.

And I have to imagine fitting tri-focal lenses is more difficult than an astigmatism.

I have the bi-focal contact lenses from Baush and Lomb. My eye doctor gave me a free trial pair.

Mine are mostly replacements. I really like these and it took no time to get use to them.

These are the ones I'm dying to try. I'm going to look into it in a couple of weeks. My son is getting married in the fall and I refuse to have glasses on in all the pix that will be taken. I know...vanity is a vice...but hey, what's a girl to do? I'm glad to hear your friend is happy with them. I tried the "one contact for near vision and one contact for far vision" a couple of years ago. All it did for me was that I couldn't see near or far! Shock
