My daughter gave me this blush as a Mother's Day gift. I have to admit that I was skeptical. I've largely given up on powder blush in favor of Julie Hewett's lovely cream blush Cheekies. Not that I've discarded them--I still have a couple of powder blushes, including the nice one that comes with the Lauren Hutton facedisk. But, nine days out of ten, it's the cream blush I reach for.
Having said that, this blush is incredibly nice. It is sheer yet pigmented, and applies beautifully with either a blush brush (I use Bobbi Brown's) or even more sheerly with a skunk brush. The color I have is "nude." I wouldn't call it nude exactly--it's a slightly pink, slightly peach, slightly tan tawny color. But it is not at all orangey or too dark. Since I'm pretty light skinned, I have to use a light hand with blush, but this one is subtle enough for me. No "clown cheeks" here.
I expected to have to exaggerate my reaction to her gift when I called to thank her. But, as it turned out, the blush is so nice that I was able to honestly tell her that I love her thoughtful gift. |

That sounds so nice! Picking gifts is so difficult, so it's really fortunate that this one was so well received. |

flitcraft - Thanks for the review . Yes, it's impressive she can choose a blush for you... May have to check this out - you always choose the best colors. Hey have you ever tried Vincent Longo - Visuvio lipsheer....
The nude you recommended is my all-time raving fav.... Must thank you.

Hi, sister, nice to hear from you! It's funny--my daughter has a really fine sense of what I will like in clothing and makeup. (Oddly, I guess wrong for her, though.)
I haven't tried the Visuvio lipstain--unfortunately my local Sephora has dropped Vincent Longo. I wish I knew a place that stocked that line--his lipstains are so very nice, aren't they? |

I buy skin care stuff for my mom sometimes. She mostly trusts my judgment... Actually, that's not right. She's only become more open to using the stuff I get her because the products I get her have such a great track record but she is generally initially resistant. |

I'm on my second Nude VL. And the Visuvio seems close and has good reviews on MUA... Just wondered. Have no Sephora's near me at all. It's always a guess and you gave me the best lipstick tips ever.
sorry to hijack the blush thread. Think it's awesome your daughter has you on target |
