well when i ordered it took me to demg which is a third party, and i actually got it from them..i don't know exactly how it worked, but i was at the light stim store and when i went to order, it took me to the try light stim page and i ordered there. but calling them and asking couldn't hurt, maybe mentioning esd..but everyone keeps saying its gonna be on qvc, on the 23rd, they have the pain management one right now on the qvc website. so no, you don't have to watch on t.v., you just have to check qvc, and order it off the web from them...i think it will be 199.99 again with the payment plan. i just got mine in the mail today and just used it, and LOVE LOVE LOVE it already. it warmed up nicely, and i just watched t.v. while i did it. interestingly i was dehydrated aftewards and am drinking water right now. i used a green tea toner, and cellfood oxygen gel as a base. so i am a happy camper..i mean the 90 day return policy and 2 year warranty, and 5 easy payment plan, makes it a total must have! the box has a 299.00 sticker on it. if it were me, i would either call, or keep checking qvc, so you can get the warranty, i would not deal with ebay..who basically sells it at the same price with nothing for protection. |

Just a heads up for those who want to try/use the "oxygen cellfood gel"...
Because of the Polysaccharide Gum and Dehydroacetic Acid in the 'gel' product, it is intended to be used as a mask (at night), and washed off in the morning.
If you want to get the oxygen/nutrient benefit, and use it pre/post LED treatments, have a look at the raw material (Cellfood 1oz), which can be added to aloe vera and distilled water to make your own "non occlusive" treatment serum...

Lightstim's customer service is always very good.
I think they should do something about this issue though. They've played down the problem in the past - and suggest that the unit should be used with an extension chord. Still, that's not a necessity with other hand-held appliances (like hairdryers for instance). |

LOL, erg! I was just coming here to tell you about it! I am so happy that you got to get it! That's the lowest price I have ever seen it. Good for you. I'm tempted to order another one, but I only have so much money to devote to beauty stuff. |

I am so excited! I have been wanting to treat myself... it has been so long since I splurged.. and at $125.. how could you not!
Now, I just gotta do some reading to see what is best to use pre/post treatment.
DM, have you ordered one yet? And a little off topic, but how is the CHAS going? |
As tempting as it is I still am on the fence about purchasing one. (2 1/2 years)
I really do like the CHAS, I agree with Riley it does have a (IMO) slight egg white feel which dissipates very quickly for me, it is too soon to say any more than I love the silky feel of my skin once it sinks in. I will report in more once I have used it long enough! |

Yes, I have been thinking about it for well over a year myself. I thought, for $125 I had to make the leap. |

So Kassy,
What are you using these days for post or pretreatment? |
Thanks 'erg', I'm going to order 2
I change up my pre & post treatments, but for the most part I use a watery serum pre treatment, and switch it up with actives like; cp serum, licorice root, niacinamide, white tea, HA, CoQ10 or similar..
Post treatment I typically apply more of the same serum I've used (pre), but follow it up at this point with a great oil which will increase penetration and now address the lipid portion of the cells I'm targeting. Argan, Coconut & Jojoba are the best I've found for this! |

@erg, you won't be disappointed!
Just have realistic goals of a prettier, healthier skin as time goes by..
You are only 37, so you will definitely enjoy all of the benefits that come with the collagen synthesis you will no doubt enjoy as time goes by.
Give a good "feel" to your skin before and after your very 1st treatment.. I would bet the ranch you will "feel" the improvement from day one.. Please let me know.
Treat each spot for a full 3 minutes without moving the LED around. Drink a glass of water before and after. If you decide to use anything pre-treatment be sure it is a thin watery serum without oil or occlusive ingredients.. (In fact do your 1st treatment on a clean, dry, exfoliated face, so you have no doubt what this LED can do.)
Good luck |

Commenting on my own post...
Anyway, after I posted I went back and read a few dozen pages to get caught back up on best practices. It seems like many people seem to like the Lightstim serum. I just want to keep it simple... Aloe mixed with 1-2 actives and call it a day! |
I am also not investing in the serum, I think most of us have a suitable serum in our arsenal of goodies that will be just fine! |

I am still waiting on mine ever so patiently.
I may just make a spritz with some EO's and other water soluble actives that are not photosensitive to use with it, when it FINALLY arrives. |
Just a suggestion to you and other LED virgins...
Please, please, please use it on a clean, exfoliated BARE face the first time...
Do the BARE face, 3 minutes on each spot and I promise you will "feel" a smoother, softer skin from day one. After that if you use something that occludes the light, you will know it, because you won't feel/see additional positive results that improve with each and every treatment.
It's the only way you will no with the utmost certainty that using pre treatment products with occlusive ingredients will just be a waste of time...
When you want to move on to great products that might be occlusive, I'll reiterate (again) how to do that (effectively), prior to your treatment.
Can't wait for you to give it a whirl! Pay particular attention to your neck and chest.. (for me it was the WOW factor from day 1.) Feel, feel, feel, prior to your treatment.. |

It is so exciting! I havt used it twice so far... what I feel for a few hours after treatment is a slight tingling sensation. I know it must be doing something.
Still trying to get a feel for coverage areas/overlap.
First time, bare skin - freshly exfoliated.
Second time, CP serum. I think for now I will alternate between naked skin (or nekid as we say in the south) and CP serum only. I think as I feel more comfortable I will try maybe a matriyl serum??
I am super worried about dehydration. In addition to the AALS, I do hot yoga about 4-5 times per week and you are sweating like crazy. Looks like I need to drink about a gallon of water a day to keep up.
Yeah!!! |
