I have been told that Vitamin K gel is very effective for facial spider veins and dark under eye circles. anyone have any experience or opinions on this? Thanks. |

yes, this is true. It is great for bruising. Cosmetic surgeons apply vitamin K gel to their patients after the procedure to minimize bruising and discoloration. What brand/manufacturer are you looking into? |

Yes, but you must use it religiously. It comes recommended by (some) doctors for this purpose. I have tried a vit K cream before but did not apply regularly enough to be able to say that it worked or didn't work. |

I have just bought some vitamin K cream from a company called Jason. I am testing it out on my spider veins on my thighs. I have been using it for about three day once a day. They seem a little less red I think but I'm not sure if I should be doing it twice a day.
Will keep you posted |

OK I will give it a go. I have patches of the stuff on my thighs so I am trying it out and leaving a patch to see if there is any difference. I've got the cream its says on it its supposed to be used on the face. There is also a spray apparently that is for the legs but I didn't see any in the shop so I settled for the creme. I hope it works!!
Does anyone know if when you stop using it do they return? |

I was thinking of buying the K-Derm one http://66.102.7.104/search?q=cache:Mud6q8lA2QMJ:www.dermadoctor.com/product.asp%3Fproductid%3D41
Littlebo - Please keep us updated with your results. Do they actually come back? Well it can go either way. I've had sclerotherapy done (where they inject them) and it worked well (on the bigger ones anyway) but I am now getting more of them coming up However, I seem to be just predisposed to them. So if it's genetic then you'll keep getting them (perhaps in various places) and if it's not then they shouldn't come back unless you do something to make them comeback (I think hot baths, crossing your legs, impact etc might make you more likely to get them in general).

with respect to facial spider veins, i have been told that you should not do dermabrasion. I just though I'd mentioned that since it's a related topic. |
