I always go back to Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm - cheap, available and cooling to my lips.
Ceralip is OK, but too thin to last very long IMO.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment is the all-time BEST!!!! Nice twist-off top to the elegant tube and tastes faintly citrus. But too spendy to use or buy very often. Nice as a gift though (pppssssst: Sephora F&F sale: Nov 6-10 @sephora.com).
One thing that is NOT worth the money is Decleor lip balm - not long-lasting at ALL! Plus the jar is not very hygienic once you dip your pinkie into it. It's only good as a nighttime treatment, but there are other cheaper options.

I love Fresh Lip Treatment, kinda pricey but it really does keep you lips moist and last hours, has a nice lemony scent. I can really feel the difference from using chapstick type lip balm.

I just got some Burt's Bees Wax and so far I love it! I was using Carmex and I didn't care for it too much, I think it was actually making my lips dryer.

I'm a big fan of Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment (which has SPF 15, which is nice). It has a nice, lemony scent which is very refreshing - so it's fun to use. It's a bit pricey for a lipbalm though - it retails somewhere around $22.50 USD.

When I don't want something scented, I like Caudalie Lip Conditioner. It leaves my lips very supple - and works well as an under-lipcolor primer as well. It's a bit more reasonably priced at around $12.00 USD.

Weleda's lip balm hands down, saved my lips many times, when they were in bad condition.

I also like Burt's Bees, but not as much as Weleda.

I just started using MAC lip conditioner, and so far so good. I've tried everything (ok, not really, just seems like it)... we'll see how it holds up as it gets colder and drier...

Hi, Cora-In, According to the Lips2Kiss website, I'm almost positive it states that waxes can age you lips.

Okay so I’m a fellow lip balm fanatic. I always keep one in my purse, one next to my bed, and several others as back up in case I run out. If I’m without lip balm I freak out. My lips must be hydrated. I’ve tried many lip balms out there, but the greatest find has been the Trader Joe’s “Trader Johann’s Virtuoso Lip Balm”. It is super cheap (around $2.49 for a pack of three) and has great ingredients. It’s 50% organic and is SPF 15. It has a refreshing spearment scent and gives your lips a nice cooling feeling. This lip balm goes on smooth not waxy and leaves a hint of shine. It has no real taste for those of you that are bothered by that.

Ingredients:
Active - Octinoxate (7.5%), Oxybenzone (3%)
Inactive – Organic Virgin Olive Oil, Beeswax, Organic Jojoba Oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Essential Oil of Spearmint, Shea Butter, Rosemary Extract, Organic Comfrey, Organic Calendula, St. John’s Wort

If you like to taste your lip balm try C.O. Bigelow “Mentha Lip Shine - Root Beer # 1301”. This stuff tastes and smells just like root beer and leaves your lips really shiny without being too thick.

A classic is the Smith’s Rosebud Salve. This is a quick review I gave it in another post:
“On occasion I use this salve over my lip balm. It's good when I want a subtle shine for those days I'm without makeup. It takes awhile to get use to opening the tin. The tin isn't really convenient, but the salve is so thick it probably wouldn't come out easily in a squeeze tube. It's also a really cute tin so I let it slide. The rose scent is really strong. You either like it or hate it. The ingredients aren't the best, but the salve goes on smooth and not sticky. It lasts a long time so you don't have to keep reapplying. I don't use it on my hands or face, but I think it could double as a cuticle oil. Overall this is a good product, but not great.”

The lip balm that’s on my list of things to try is Green by Nature “Banana Shea Lip Butter”. It has some amazing ingredients, but unfortunately it’s hard to find by me. I guess I will have to wait until my next online splurge. Has anyone tried this?
