Gale Hayman's Lip Lift is a must for the winter months, it heals and soothes the minute you put it on, not to mention plumps out those lips with a bit of help from collagen.

Haha, how about vaseline? Smile Works good! I really like exfoliating with a toothbrush everyday...and then put vaseline on. It really works wonders!

I used to love the plain Blistex in the white tube, but this winter my lips actually started to peel. My doctor said that people can react to the medical ingredients in it. Now I use simpler things (ie. Rosebud salve)

The best lip balm I've ever tried is the Burt's Bees lip shimmer (the color champagne is my absolute fave) and I keep repurchasing this again and again. It feels the most comfortable (not sticky at all) and has a beautiful light pink shimmer that works well for me because I have a lot of redness in my lips. The refreshing minty feel when you put it on is a plus!

The mint rosebud salve didn't last very long for me (dried out my lips after a while and felt too thick when initially applied) and I tried a Kiehls pomegranate one w/ spf and that was WAY too scented for me. The carol's daughter lip balm (coconut flavored shine) was ok too but too slippery and shiny.

I have a few that pulled my lips out of major dryness...so dry my lips hurt!

First is Caudalie's...it really healed my lips in the winter when they're normally dry and major cracked.

Second is Clinique's...I was using a new toothpaste and it was too strong for me so the edges of my mouth were dry, cracked and peeling. This one has been a lifesaver for me because after 1 tube, the edges are fully healed and my lips are no longer dry and with less lip lines!

I really like Carmex, but am trying to find a more natural alternative. Until I do, it is very moisturizing and cheap!

I have to say the (relatively new) Chapstick naturals are nice. I like the butter one better (smoother and more hydrating - "lasts longer") than the "botanical medley" one:
http://www.chapstick.com/natural/index.asp
You can find them in most drugstores here in the U.S.

I also love my new tangerine lip balm (with 15% emu oil and large 1/4 oz tube) from Laid in Montana My lips just suck up the moisture. Now that I know, I will definitely order more with my next Laid in Montana order. Their lip balm comes in the following: unscented, cherry almond, peppermint, tangerine, and vanilla spice.
http://cart.laidinmt.com/catalog/LM-Lip-Balm-orderby0-p-1-c-12.html
The tangerine is nice. I love citrus flavors. Next time, I'll also try the cherry almond. Sounds delicious! Yum! Laughing

I love Julie Hewett's Camellia Lip Balm. Very moisturizing. Sinks right into the lips and has a very light fruity taste. I don't usually repurchase lip balms but this is one of my favourites along with the Rosebud Salve.

Lip Fusion XR. I have been using this every night since I received my last EDS order a few weeks ago. Really like the way my lips are feeling. Don't really notice much of a "plumping" going on (although you do get the tingling when you apply it), but it really seems to have conditioned my lips.

For a less expensive option (and for spending the weekend outside on windy soccer fields!) I really like Blistex in the dark blue jar or stick (I think they call it medicated).

I have to add a new favorite of mine. I bought the Eminence Citrus lip balm from EDS and really like it. It has a fresh citrusy smell and is based on natural oils and waxes and shea butter. A little goes a looong way. Smile

My Partner & I are Lip Balm Fanatics. We keep them in the car, gym bag, etc etc. Always have one on us. Our Favorites are:

Juice Beauty Lip Plumper - It's organic, it smells & tastes great, and it's $14. We bought this one on a whim and fell inlove. It's great!
I found this worked just as good [if not better!] as my prior lip obsession, the La Mer Lip Creme that retails for over $50 dollars. I only got the one I have because I have a friend who works for La Mer, I wouldn't pay that for it.

Another one of my favorites is the Dr Hauschka Lip Care Stick. Feels really nice, harmless smell.

Smile
