Who started this 'time honored tradition'???

Do your husbands bring you flowers, especially instead of saying "I'm sorry"? Or what about for just because?

My husband does, and I love getting surprise gifts so I don't really know how to tell him I don't like flowers. Or sometimes he'll buy a candle. Which is ok, but the scent is always what HE likes. How do I tell him that I love gifts, but just not the ones he buys?? See??? I'm being rude already!!!!!!!!!!! Sad Shock

My husband brings me flowers just because and when I've had a rough day.

If you're not into flowers, try to take opportunities to gush about something that you really like so he'll remember the next time he wants to surprise you. You're lucky any way to have such a thoughtful DH.

I'm really curious tjsmom, but before you guys got married did your husband or then 'boyfriend' buy you flowers when you were just having a rough day etc...

I don't have a husband, but have a boyfriend of 3+years and he thinks flowers are a waste of money....He's not cheap with anything else just darn flowers...And I think flowers are wonderful!!!

I wonder if there is ever any hope that I will get flowers when I am having a 'rough day.' Or do you think I'm doomed?...He's a great guy just not into flowers or 'wasting' money on them... Sad

And you're very lucky that you receive flowers for having a rough day! Very Happy

After six years together my husband has bought me flowers twice. Once when I was in hospital and once for valentines day. However; he lets me buy whatever I want whenever I want and never complains.

I would love more surprises, but I love my shopping too and wouldn't give it up for anything.

What if you bought yourself a bouquet of flowers and put them on your table, then whenever he's around you could talk about how beautiful they are. He might pick up on that...

My fiance gives me flowers on my birthday and valentines usually, and sometimes he'll just show up with some if I'm under the weather, just because, or if he ticked me off Laughing .

I never expect gifts so when he gives me flowers it's a nice surprise and it reminds me that he loves me. I would never tell him I didn't like his flowers. It would hurt his feelings.

Is telling your husband you don't like his gifts really worth hurting his feelings or bringing about an argument?

OMG!!! My marriage is exactly the same Laughing Laughing . I even have to tell my husband what I want for Bday and Christmas Rolling Eyes . I'm fine with that though, as I rather tell him what I want than get a gift I don't like Wink.
I've been married for 15 years and have spent a total of 20 years with my hubby. And I still love him to death Embarassed .
