Has anyone tried the weight loss/cholesterol lowering herb which they've used in India for centuries. Does it work? Which brands are best? |

Never heard of it. First thing I have to address is "weight loss herb they've used in India for centuries" is really stupid marketing I think, since I highly doubt women in India have been trying to lose weight for centuries. The standard of beauty with regards to thinness is very different in a country where many people don't have enough to eat, so curves are generally considered a good thing and if anything a sign of wealth, not to mention health. Even today, the Indian standard of beauty is a lot "fleshier" than the western one. |

There is support for Guggul in the medical lit being an anti-inflammatory and for lowering LDL. This does not necessarily translate to weight loss but they are in general good. I was taking it but stopped because my LDL is very low. |
