Sooo, I was reading an article, and apparently musician pharrell williams is undergoing this novel procedure in order to rid himself of his tattoos, he says:
There's an institute called the Wake Forest Institute in North Carolina for Regenerative Skin Treatment. It's basically like getting a skin graft, but you're not taking skin from your ass or legs - these guys actually grow the skin for you. First you have to give them a sample of your skin, which they then replicate. Once that's been done, they sew it on - and it's seamless."
Earlier this year I read something about doctors in Europe using this type of procedure to treat burn victims with excellent results...
This makes me think, if you can cover tattoos, what else could you do? no more stretch marks, acne scars, sun damaged skin, etc. it sounds exciting to me! |

Hey sounds exciting... I think the thought of helping burn patients is wonderful. I wonder if they have time can they grow me a whole new skin for my face and replace the skin I have....? (joking of course, would rather them help the needy first!) |
