Anyone else tried these? Cool
www.shapeupshoes.com

They are wild! Like an earth sandal on steroids. They have a nylon plush toe thong, a thick foam footbed and a corrugated rubber sole. The sole is 2 1/2 inches at its thickest.
Definitely give you a gastrocnemius stretch and tighten up your bootie.
One caveat: don't try to do stairs or drive in them - they're way too cluncky.
For $39.95+S&H they're a cheap thrill for the summer and make your legs look so long too! Cool

What is it like walking in them? How different does it feel from Earth shoes or MBT's? I always wear - as much as possible - MBT or Earth.. I might consider getting the boots from this company, but..

just how much more effective are they than MBT's?

anyone know?

I don't like the thong design. MBT shoes hug the feet very well. For this shoe I would be afraid of twisting my ankle on some uneven surface.

I twisted my foot badly in a Dansko clog, and that ended my love affair for Danskos. My feet was blue and black for weeks.

They are tricky!!
The instructions say to balance on the flat part of the shoe, which is under the ball of the foot, approximately. So it's not the rolling motion of the MBTs nor the negative heel of Earth shoes. More of a geisha-type hobble!!
They rec wearing them for 30 min a day, so it's more of an exercise than a fashion sandal, and not very practical for normal wear like around town, or dancing, and definitely NOT driving or on stairs!!
I've only worn them around the house on carpet and can feel a workout in my legs and butt, but almost tripped on the stairs, so won't do THAT again.
Gimmicky? Yeah, but kinda fun and they do look FUNKY!!

They look kinda cool, but I think I would break my ankle, trying to balance on the flat part. And stairs, no I think everyone should stay away. This probably is not any different than walking around on your tippy toes, which I do when I get home and take off my heals. The ball of my foot is the only thing that hits the floor. Very Happy
