Will one of you lovely sunscreen mavens please help me with this:

1. Do I need to use an oil cleanser to remove AntheliosXL fluid extreme, or is that just necessary with the Japanese brands, like Sofina and Shiseido?

2. In general, would using a Clarisonic with my usual cleanser do the same as an oil cleanser ?

I don't know about the AntheliosXL fluid sunscreen but I tend to want to remove everything and anything (sunscreen or morning film) using a micellar makeup remover first. It is just a better clean with a cleanser after. I use oil cleanser too when I use makeup.

I haven't gone on to buy the clarisonic to try yet. So I can't answer your second question.

no matter the texture of my sunscreen, i always use an oil/cream cleanser to ensure all the product is removed, then follow with a gentle cleanser.

me too. I remove Anthelios Fluide Extreme with cream cleanser first (Nivea make up remover), then follow with gentle cleanser (Caudalie foaming cleanser). I found that using only gentle cleanser on it cannot remove it.

I suggest you should use the makeup remover to remove the sunblock, then follow with cleanser.

I'm not using the Fluid Extreme, but the Crème Fondante version for drier skins, and I feel that if I'm not using a cleansing oil, the ss doesn't budge properly, and I end up with small pimples, although I'm not prone to pimples in the normal case.

Either I use the cleansing oil from MAC on its own, or the Dermalogica Pre-Cleanse followed by another cleanser.
