I've been traveling until just a few days ago so I am just catching up with recent events and hoping that our members are not affected.
This is specifically for our forum members who live in LA and those who live in Brisbane. The two areas have experienced in the recent days two radically different problems - fires in LA and flash floods in Brisbane.
I know that one of my close friends in LA has been evacuated from her house on Monday but I am keeping my fingers crossed that she, and all of our LA members (and of course, everyone in general), are keeping safe and have now returned to their homes to some positive news.
Brisbane has for the last few days been battered by severe storms and amounts of rain that can only be described as crazy. It has now been declared a natural disaster zone. Again, my thoughts are with those who have been affected by the recent events.
Please keep safe!

I second those kind thoughts Mabsy. I live in Surfers Paradise and whilst the thunder storms have been violent, we have had no damage here. A lady I spoke to earlier today told me that more storms are due and that tomorrow's will be the most intense so far.
My heart goes out to all who have lost their homes, or worse still, their loved ones. |

We definitely have been lucky on the Gold Coast. I watched the news after the big storms and they said that the damage estimate was around a few billion dollars in Queensland.
Hope that it does not happen again any time soon! |

Yup the storms were really bad... my cousin was one of the very unlucky ones to have completely lost her roofing. |
