Hi Everyone, Very Happy

I'm new at the forum and absolutely loving Very Happy all the posts!! I love reading about these unique skin care products and I can't wait to try them all!
Also, I would like to say "hi" to everybody.

I have read about 20 pages of reviews and although they were helpful, I think I need more help with my Dermalogica products. My first Dermalogica product was multivatimin power recovery and felt in love with the range. I am planning to purchase more of their products soon and this is where I need your help.

FYI, I have combo/oily t-zone skin and prone to acnes on cheek and chin area. Also, my biggest worry is blackheads on my nose and large pores on my chin. I also have few acne scars. I don't yet have any lines around my eyes.

Here are the lists of products that I am thinking of buying..(I like to try them out all and pick few that I like)

* Special Cleansing Gel/Or Dermal Clay Cleanser. (For daily use)
* Daily Microfoliant (for daily use)
* Multiactive Toner (for daily use)
* Oil-Control lotion (for daily use)
* Gentle Creme Exfoliant (for weekly use)
* Skin Refinin Masque (for weekly use)
* Skin booster?? either renewel or hydrating?
* Barrier Repair
* Night cream (Not sure which one)

My questions are...

1. When do you use Daily Microfoliant? Do you use it after toner or after cleanser? If after cleanser, do you need toner afterwards?
2. If you use Daily Microfoliant everyday, do you need Gentle Creme Exfoliant?
3. Is there any difference between Gentle Creme Exfoliant and Refining Masque?
4. Which skin booster do you recommend? How do you use this? Do you mix it with your night creme?
5. Any recommendation for night creme?
6. Is Dermal Clay Cleanser too drying for?

I am so sorry for such a long intro and so many questions. Your help will be greatly appriciated. Thanks!!

Hi,
I've only tried a few products so Mabsy is your best bet for answers but....

I do love their daily microfoliant. You use it right after your cleanser, before you tone. Great product for everyday and shoudl help with blackheads.
I never bothered with the cream exfoliant. You should go with the special cleansing gel as they clay may be too drying in my opinion.
Renewal skin booster for your skin type, don't know why you would need the barrier repair. And not sure what night cream. Probably the active moist with skin booster mixed in.

Good Luck

Thanks for your help Miss Shoes.
Daily Microfoliant is definitely something I am going to try out. I heard so many good review about it. So, I guess if I am getting booster, then I don't really need Barrier Repair.
So how do you use Skin booster? Do you use it alone or mix with night creme?
Sorry for more questions!

I've also only tried a few of the products you have listed. I really like the Microfoliant. This is used on a makeup-free face and you use a toner after this (though you don't have to). I would say that if you use this daily then there is probably no need for any other exfoliant (that would depend on the skin but I don't feel like I need to exfoliate when I use this on a regular basis).

The booster is supposed to be used under your moisturiser (or you can mix it in I guess) but it's not something that you use on its own. I have the hydrating one and use it (when required) before I apply moisturiser.

I have the Dermal Clay Cleanser and having normal to combo skin I would not use this twice a day because I'd be afraid of it drying out my skin. It's a great cleanser though and it leaves a very fresh minty feeling (which I LOVE!).

Thanks for your help Mobsy.

I guess the best way would be to visit the Dermalogica Salon and get their recommendation.

After long hours at work, I did mini-facial at home today. I used Dermalogica Refining Masque and used multivitamin masque and I feel absolutely wonderful.. Very Happy

I am going to buy Microfoliant next and see how I goes. Also, thinking of buying skin clearing booster as well.

Anyways, thanks all for your help

hi,

i'm not sure whether this is the right place to ask my question... but please bear with me Embarassed

i was kindly given a sample of Dermalogica Microfoliant from my recent EDS purchase, and i've divided it into 3 uses... i think i'd followed the instruction pretty closely, but for some reasons that after a long, thourough rinse, i still get this sticky feeling both on my face and my palms that i ended up have to use my decleor cleanser again to clean out that stickyness... Sad

just wandering if this is normal??!! or maybe somewhere along the steps i did something wrong??!!

Hi Moshimoshi,

I've never had that happen before. I use it on a clean damp face and massage the powder paste for a few minutes. Then just rinse it off. No residue at all. I didn't think there was anything in it that could give a sticky feeling Question
