I've taken CoQ10 supplements for many years, but I don't think I've ever gotten them from GNC. I'm not a fan of GNC. My favorite brand is Source Naturals. CoQ10 is not a miracle pill. It's just part of my health regimen. |

A family friend of ours kept raving about COQ10 helping her with her cracked feet. She had been taking it for 2 months at this point, and said that her feet are no longer cracked. So of course, my mom goes out and buys 2 large bottles of this stuff at Sam's Club. She has yet to see results considering she 'forgets' to take it everyday. Supposedly, you will see the effects if you take it on a regular basis.
I don't know if they have a Sam's Club/Walmart in HK, but those stores sell in larger bottles than other supplement stores.
If you have cracked feet, I'm really thinking it may work. I will have to repost once my mom gets her desired results like our family friend. HTH. |

I've tried CoQ10 for a few months but never knew what it did for my body, so I stopped taking it. |

CoQ10 is an antioxidant. I don't know if you would notice a difference except over time... unless your body needs it desperately to help remedy some skin condition.
I know many holistic doctors who highly recommend taking a supplement of it. And there also are some creams with CoQ10 or idebenone (a synthetic formulation similar to CoQ10 that is also supposted to penetrate the skin better) (e.g., Prevage, Super Repair CoQ10 Moist by Doctor D. Schwab, etc.)
You can buy either CoQ10 or idebenone as ingredients at formularies if you want to add to your own creams. For instancewww.skinactives.com :
www.skinactives.com/products/q10.htm
www.skinactives.com/products/idebenone.htm
Some supplements I would recommend for skin (and check other threads here) are:
essential fatty acids (especially Omega-3's)
Biocell Collagen II with Hyaluronic Acid
Vit. C in 500mg doses at a time - all your body can take in at once without excreting the rest - so recommended to take 3 x 500mg a day
minerals like Zinc, silica, etc. |

The only brand recommendation I have is for the essential fatty acids I like Total EFA by Health from the Sunwww.healthfromthesun.com - it has all the omegas (3-6-9) in the proper ratio. I've taken just fish oil (Omega 3) and if I don't take a 3-6-9 combo, I notice a difference in my skin, etc. You can find other brands that do a 3-6-9 combo like Vitamin Shoppewww.vitaminshoppe.com --

[I know you are in Hong Kong so I don't know what you can find available to you either locally or via the mail] |

Evenet, I'm a little slow in answering, and sometimes I never find my way back to my posts, but you asked

Yes, I'll keep using it because I've studied nutrition enough over the years to believe that it's something my body needs. What I like about Source Naturals is I've tried every brand under the sun, and this is just one brand that I've come to trust. They're a little higher than brands like you'll find at Wal-Mart, but nutrients are one place I won't skimp. |
